Abstract
The process is for recycling old road material, e.g. asphalt granules, into fresh bituminous material. The process is for emission-free continuous or batch operation, and involves independent dryers for the old asphatl and for the supplementary material. The supplementary filling and binding material is prepared in a separate mixer. In the mixer (8), the constituents (1-4) are intensively mixed, whereby those at high temperature (1 or 2) give up excess heat to the remaining constituents (1,3,4) or (2,3,4). The resulting recycling mixture (5) is fed directly for further processing, or for intermediate storage in batch operation.
