Gesellschaft für drahtlos Telegraphie m. b. H. in Berlin.Society for wireless telegraphy m. B. H. in Berlin.
Einrichtung zum Empfang kontinuierlicher elektrischer Schwingungen.Device for receiving continuous electrical oscillations.
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 10. August 1920 ab.Patented in the German Empire on August 10, 1920.
Methods for receiving continuous vibrations are already known, in which the high frequency is transformed down to a tone frequency perceptible in the telephone by means of fast-working interrupters wind.
Man erhält so Sdhwingungskreise, die Wechselströme einer mittleren Frequenz füh-For the purpose of increasing the freedom from interference, it is advantageous to use the step-down transformation not to be carried out in one stage, but in several stages one after the other. In this way one obtains oscillation circles which Alternating currents of a medium frequency
ren, sich abstimmen lassen und selbst bei geringer Dämpfung noch keine zu große Verlangsamung der Telcgraphiegeschwindigkeit herbeiführen.can be tuned and even with low damping not slowing down too much bring about the telcgraphic speed.
But in order to convert the high frequency into medium frequency by means of an interrupter, very high demands are placed on the interrupters in terms of regularity and the level of the number of interruptions per ίο second. Generally fail here the mechanical breakers, whether they are vibrating or rotating are made.
According to the present invention, a vacuum tube should be used instead of a mechanical breaker or a tube filled with a dilute gas, preferably a cathode tube with a grid, for the production of the fast Vibrations (are used, and in such a way that they affect the tube, which is on the side of the grid which absorbs high frequency, on the anode side short-term voltage amplitudes of a fraction of the period of the control frequency are transmitted so that this tube only conduct electricity during these short periods of time and act as an amplifier can.
The short-term voltage amplitudes are supplied by a cathode tube, which receives an auxiliary direct current potential at the grid.
This tube with the auxiliary potential on the grid acts as an intermediate tube for the control frequency supplying generator tube and the interrupter tube, d. H. the receiving tube, which should work intermittently, switched, being coupled to the latter by a transformer.
For a better understanding of the invention, an example is shown in the drawing Circuit diagram illustrated.
According to the circuit in Fig. 1, the energy coming from the antenna 1 is transmitted to a tuned circuit 2 which controls the grid of a cathode tube 3. From a special alternating current source, expediently a generator tube 4, which is tuned to a correspondingly high frequency, an auxiliary tube 5 is controlled, which has a direct current auxiliary potential of a certain level on its grid. Brief pulses a (Fig. 2) then arise in the anode circuit of this tube, which act on the anode circuit of tube 3 with the aid of coils 6 and 7. However, the transformation from 6 to 7 results in voltage amplitudes b in coil 7 of only half the duration of those in 6. The tube 3 can therefore only carry current in its anode circuit during a small fraction of the change in the control frequency supplied by generator 4 and provide an amplifier effect . So it acts> like an interrupter with short closing times. The other circles can then be connected to points 8, 9, which z. B. lead the center frequency. This can in turn be amplified or transformed into an audible frequency by repeating the arrangement described.
