Das Verfahren besteht darin, daß aus einem «-eichen Bast, z. B. Raphiabast oder einem sich gleichartig verhaltenden Fadengebilde, zunächst eine glatte Ware gearbeitet wird und danach einzelne Maschenstäbchen, z. B. jedes zweite, dritte usw., durch Fallenlassen ihrer letzten Maschen aufgelöst werden, so daß an ihrer Stelle Laufmaschen entstehen. Die so hergestellten Laufmaschen zeigen aber nicht, wie es sonst bei Laufmaschen der Fall ist, geringe Elastizität, sondern sie machen im Gegenteil die Ware äußerst elastisch und dehnbar, da sie die Henkelform beibehalten und nach dem Ausdehnen des Gewirks stets in diese zurückzukehren suchen.The method consists in that from a-oak bast, z.
