Description
Tensile butt joint for self-supporting wooden structures. Of the Connection of the tensile stressed bandage wood takes place with the formation of Binder nodes mostly by screw bolts that are perpendicular to the direction of pull, as a result, they are subjected to bending and shearing stress and are often excessively large Cause perforated wall pressure. This defect also occurs with other wood connections often revealed, e.g. B. when in a straight direction encountered wooden bandage the Tensile force is transmitted to longitudinal brackets by means of transversely directed screw bolts. As soon as there are significant tensile forces, the usual cross bolts have neither the necessary flexural strength is still a sufficient support surface in the perforated wall present in the low compressive strength of the wood, with the additional fact that the cylindrical bearing surfaces are less suitable for power transmission than flat ones. Often the cross bolt has to be placed too close to the end of the tension rod, so that the perforated wall is not adequately secured against separation.
The invention is intended to control these inconveniences.
Fig. I shows schematically a binder, Fig. 2 and 3 in an enlarged view Scale view and section of its ridge junction and Fig. Q. and Fig. 5 is a side view and supervision of the butt joint of any lower chord. Instead of the usual Cross bolts are bend-resistant across the tensile timber a, on best made of square or profile iron abutment members b out, their level bearing surface fully corresponds to the compressive strength of the wood and so far from The end of the timbers a lies back so that the perforated wall cannot shear out. The protruding ends of the abutment members b are arranged so that to both Sides of the timbers a connected in the longitudinal direction of tension members c adjustable can be that at their other end in the same or a similar manner, such as. B. obtained by the plates d in Fig. 2 and 3, their abutment.
In the case of a straight joint, the joint surfaces graze, as shown in Fig, q. and 5 show, expediently provided with cross rib and groove e.
