Matrizenschlössern für Stereotypplatten-Gießmaschinen hat man bisher meist Federn
oder Schrauben - mitunter auch Exzenter - verwendet, die aber erfahrungsgemäß nicht
allen Anforderungen der Praxis gewachsen sind. Federn haben den Nachteil, daß (beim
Einlegen der Matrize die eine Hand das Schloß in der geöffneten Stellung halten
und die Handhabung der Matrize nur mit -der anderen Hand und daher sehr erschwert
erfolgen muß. Verwendet man Schrauben zum Schließen des Schlosses, so bedarf ihre
Bedienung erheblichen Zeitaufwand, wobei stets die Gefahr des Überziehens vorhanden
ist. Endlich besitzen Exzenter keinen Selbstschluß und bieten daher keime Gewähr
dafür, daß das Schloß den bei der Trennung von Matrize und Platte vorkommenden Stößen

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Matrizenschloß, welches mittels eines
Schneckengetriebes zum Einlegen der Matrize geöffnet und dann wieder geschlossen
wird. Da das Schneckengetriebe Selbstsperrung besitzt, so bleibt das MatrizensclJoß
in jeder Stellung gesichert und. kann daher eine Lockerung des Schlosses während
des Betriebes nicht eintreten. Das Schließen des Schlosses kann zusätzlich auch
mittels Federn erfolgen, da die Selbstsperrung des Schneckengetriebes den Federdruck
beim Öffnen des Schlosses überwindet und ein ungewolltes vorzeitiges Schließen desselben

nach rechts (Abb. i) gezogen, so daß die Matrize h zwischen dem Vorsprung st dieser
Leiste und der Leiste b festliegt. Legt man aber den Hebel i um i8o° herum, so wird
durch die Schnecke k die Spindel c gedreht und durch die an dieser befindlichen
Zahnsegmente f die Zahnstangen d und daher auch die Schloßleiste c
nach links (Abb. i) verschoben, so daß die Matrize, wie punktiert angedeutet, freigegeben
wird. Durch einen an dem Hebel i angebrachten Schnappzeiger t läßt sich erkennen,
wann der Hebel i in die dem geschlossenen Schloß entsprechende Stellung gelangt
