Diese Laschen und die Verbindungen mit den Bodenwrangen sind trotz sorgfältiger Ausführung schwache Stellen in dem Aufbau. Auch bei sorgfältiger Wahl der Hölzer wird es vorkommen, daß die Fasern schräg zur Spantenrichtung laufen, wodurch eine erhebliche Schwächung des Spantes entsteht.Frames for wooden ships.
