Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for processing sludge with contents of oils and other lipophilic light substances (oil containing sludge).
Hieraus leiten sich für die Beseitigung solcher Abfälle strenge Anforderungen ab.When emptying or cleaning light liquid separators and associated sludge traps and various storage facilities such oily sludges fall for oily sludges and waste water to a greater extent. Because these sludges often have high oil levels exhibit, are regularly elaborate disposal procedures such as Incineration or disposal on hazardous waste landfills required. Recent studies have shown that waste oils in particular are a number of ecotoxicologically relevant substances, e.g. B. volatile poly halogenated hydrocarbons. From this derive strict requirements for the disposal of such waste.
The invention has for its object a method for prepare oily sludges of the type described in the introduction give what is at least the concentration of lipophilic light can significantly reduce substances.
Diese Aufgabe löst die Erfindung bei einem gattungsgemäßen Ver fahren dadurch, daß die lipophilen Leichtstoffe in einem Flotations vorgang in wässriger Phase mittels eingeblasener feinverteilter Luft von den übrigen Schlammkomponenten abgetrennt und nach Bildung einer lipophilen Leichtstoffschicht auf der Oberfläche der Flotations trübe abgezogen werden. Gleichzeitig werden ggfs. enthaltene, an die Leichtstoffe gebundene ökotoxikologisch relevante Inhaltsstoffe, wie halogen-organische Verbindungen (z. B. PCB′s) in den übrigen Schlamm komponenten reduziert und mit der lipophilen Leichtstoffschicht aus getragen. - Die Erfindung geht von der Erkenntnis aus, daß es sich bei den aufzubereitenden ölhaltigen Schlämmen um völlig heterogene Materialien handelt, die im wesentlichen aus den folgenden Schlamm komponenten bestehen;This object is achieved by the invention in a generic Ver drive in that the lipophilic light substances in a flotation Process in the aqueous phase by means of injected, finely divided air separated from the other sludge components and after formation a lipophilic layer of light material on the surface of the flotation be removed cloudy. At the same time, any included the light substances bound ecotoxicologically relevant ingredients, such as halogen-organic compounds (e.g. PCB's) in the remaining sludge components reduced and with the lipophilic light material layer carried. - The invention is based on the knowledge that it is in the case of the oil-containing sludges to be treated, by completely heterogeneous Materials are essentially made up of the following mud components exist;
- - mineralische Anteile unterschiedlicher Kornzusammensetzung,- mineral components of different grain composition,
- - grobe Feststoffe wie beispielsweise Borstenmaterial von Reini gungsgeräten, Laub, Papierreste usw.,- coarse solids such as bristle material from Reini equipment, leaves, paper scraps etc.,
- - lipophile Leichtstoffe wie beispielsweise Mineralöle, Fette, Wachse - teils in wässriger Phase emulgiert, gelöst oder direkt abscheidbar, teils an Feststoffen haftend-,- Lipophilic light materials such as mineral oils, fats, Waxes - partly emulsified, dissolved or in the aqueous phase directly separable, partly adhering to solids,
- - ggf. ökotoxikologische relevante Inhaltsstoffe,- possibly ecotoxicologically relevant ingredients,
- - Wasser.- Water.
Characterized of this partly as hydrophilic, partly as hydrophobic renden solid / liquid system according to the teaching of the invention the lipophilic light substances abge by means of a flotation process separates. The same applies not only to those in the aqueous phase lipophilic light materials, but even for solids adhering light materials. Depending on the composition of the mud The flotate contains different proportions of mineral components Fine grain fractions and possibly ecotoxicologically relevant ingredients. In any case, the treatment of oil-containing sludge according to the invention leads to shift the lipophilic light materials and possibly the eco toxicologically relevant ingredients in the flotate.
Further measures essential to the invention are set out below leads. So according to the invention for homogenizing the preparing sludge whose coarse solids before flotation process separated, for example by means of sieves or rakes. Before the air is discontinuously incorporated into the flotation slurry blown to the performance of the Aufbe invention improve horse riding. It is also recommended that the flotation slurry surfactants such as Add surfactants, flocculants or the like. Expediently the aqueous phase forming above the sludge in a circle run and cleaned after deduction. For cleaning the water phase are physical processes such. B. gravity deposition and the coalescence process available, but also chemical or physical fission processes such as acid fission and electroflotation. The invention further provides that the withdrawn flotate is processed, for example by heavy force separation, centrifugation, chemical splitting, extraction or the like
The invention also relates to a device for through implementation of the claimed process. It is characterized by a flotation tank, a ventilation device for the Flotation tank and at least one agitator or another Circulation device. The reactor also includes devices for Deduction of the flotate, water phase and sludge required if also for exhaust air treatment. The reactor allows one pass running or standing operation, also the establishment of quiet zones. The Reactor can be used stationary or in size and construction be coordinated with container vehicles if namely the processing method according to the invention in view on the structure of the disposal of the sludge to be treated as portable system to be designed.
The advantages achieved by the invention are substantial to be seen in the fact that a process for the treatment of oil-containing Sludge is indicated, which results in a significant decrease the concentration of lipophilic light substances can be achieved. Through the Reduction of the concentration of any existing ecotoxicological Ingredients, such as harmful halogenated organic ingredients (e.g. PCB’s), the method according to the invention wins a special one Importance. In fact, one can be done this way Prevent environmental pollution from such sludges. Furthermore is proper removal of the majority of the mass oily sludge guaranteed by easier sludge removal achieves, e.g. B. by depositing on a landfill instead a hazardous waste landfill, a hazardous waste landfill instead of one Underground landfill. As the figure shows, a conveyor 1 via the line 2 sludge with contents of oils and other lipophilic light materials and via a line 3 water. In the line 2 , a screening device 4 and an intermediate storage 5 is provided. This water / sludge mixture is circulated by the conveyor 1 via a flotation tank 6 by means of lines 7 and 8 . The flotation tank 6 is provided with a ventilation device 9 , to which air is supplied via the line 10 . This is introduced in finely divided form into the flotation tank 6 via the aeration device 9 , so that the lipophilic light substances are separated from the other sludge components during the flotation process in the aqueous phase by this air blown in. A lipophilic light material layer forms on the surface of the flotation slurry, which is drawn off via line 11 . Coarse solids are separated on the one hand by the screening device 4 and on the other hand in the conveyor device 1 . In the illustrated embodiment, air is blown discontinuously into the flotation liquid over the ventilation device 9 . It can also be seen that the flotation slurry surfactants, z.
