Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for correction according to the Preamble of claim 1.
The article "Channel Error Recovery for Transform Image Coding" in IEEE Transactions on Communications, Vol. COM-29, No. 12, December 1981, provides a method for error reduction two-dimensional transformation coding. Arbitrarily and / or systematically selected television picture sections referred to as blocks. The blocks are before a transfer transformed and encoded in spectral blocks. After the transfer spectral blocks are decoded and back-transformed. By utilizing natural redundancy in a television picture defective blocks are detected and with correction information touched up. Natural redundancy is that one block to all neighboring blocks at its limits in the Usually has no major jumps in brightness and / or color. Are in the decoded signal, which is a measure of the brightness and / or color of an image content serves at all boundaries Blockes larger jumps in brightness and color, so this indicates for a transmission error and from the differences to the Correction limits can be calculated, which is used to repair the block.
The invention has for its object to provide a method that blocks and / or spectral blocks that are considered disturbed have been recognized through simple and effective measures corrected.
This object is achieved by the specified in claim 1 Measures solved. Advantageous developments of the invention are mentioned in the subclaims.
For a better understanding of the invention, a Embodiment explained in more detail with reference to figures.

Fig. 1 shows a message source 1 , the electrical signals in an analog-to-digital converter 2 , hereinafter called ADU. Digitized signals pass from ADC 2 to source encoder 3 , which encodes the signals. The coded signals are transmitted from the channel encoder 4 , which provides the signals with redundancy, via a transmission channel 5 to a channel decoder 7 . The transmission channel 5 is influenced by a disturbance 6 . The disturbed signals are forwarded from the channel decoder 7 to a source decoder 8 and decoded there. The decoded signals are analogized in a digital-to-analog converter 9 . The analog signals are fed to the sink 10 . Such a system is described, for example, in the dissertation "Adaptive Transformation Coding of Digitized Image Signals" by W. Mauersberger at the TH Aachen. This system also applies to a video recorder, which stores data block by block on a magnetic tape and decodes it for channel and source reproduction for image and / or sound reproduction. In the channel encoder 4 , the digital signals to be transmitted are provided with parity bits, which allow a first error correction in the channel decoder 7 . The channel decoder 7 recognizes simple errors on the basis of the parity bits and corrects them. However, difficult errors cause defective blocks, are not recognized or can no longer be corrected.
Fig. 2 shows a television image with television lines 11 and blocks 13-16, in the middle of which a disturbed block 12 having 4 × 4 pixels 17 is arranged.
A first possibility of replacing a defective block is to use the arithmetic mean of the pixels of the neighboring blocks 13-16 directly adjacent to the block 12 for each pixel 17 of the block 12 .
Die Formel für den Grauwert (X) eines Bildpunktes 17 lautet (bilineare Interpolation): Fig. 3 shows a second possibility of the pixels 17 to calculate a block 12. For this purpose, the gray value or color value is calculated for each pixel 17 from the orthogonally adjacent pixels 17 of the neighboring blocks 13-16 . The formula for the gray scale value ( X ) of a pixel 17 is (bilinear interpolation):
A third possibility is to replace the defective block 12 by the geometrically identical block of the previous television frame.
Fig. 4 zeigt einen Eckbildpunkt 17, dessen Grauwert bzw. Fig. 4 shows a corner pixel 17, the gray value or color value by the gray value or color value of the adjacent outer five pixels 18-22 of the blocks 13, 14, is determined or calculated 23rd The gray or color values of all other pixels, with the exception of corner pixels, are calculated or determined by the gray or color values of three adjacent pixels. The three adjacent pixels are always on an outer ring 18 . The calculation is ring-shaped or recursive, the rings 18 becoming smaller and smaller.
FIG. 5 shows a block with 8 × 8 pixels, the limit value signals of which are mapped onto a spectral block using a discrete-cosine transformation, DCT. At its corner points, the spectral block has 24-27 spectral coefficients which have a dimension 24 for the constant component, a dimension 25 for the highest vertical frequency component, a dimension 26 for the highest diagonal frequency component and a dimension 27 for the highest horizontal frequency component.

S ( 2.2 ) = ( S 1 (1) - S 3 (1) + S 2 (1) - S 4 (1)) * 1 / (2exp1 / 2)
Farbwert eingesetzt. The matrix or block length is 8 pixels. The one-dimensional Transformation results in a matrix size of 1 × 8. The Transformations to the one-dimensional matrix and the back transformation of the spectral block to a block are the same Type, e.g. B. DCT and inverse DCT. Are several adjacent blocks disturbed, so a middle at the seams of the blocks Gray or color value used.
Fig. 7 shows an antenna 25, a channel 7 and a source decoder 8, an error detection circuit 26, a memory 27 for at least three block rows, a DAC 9 and a monitor 28. The error detection circuit 26 detects errors and starts an error concealment circuit. In addition, the error detection circuit 26 is also informed via a line 29 about irreparable spectral blocks from the channel decoder 7 . The error detection circuit 26 can also be integrated in the source decoder 8 . The error concealment circuit, error concealment is also referred to as concealment, consists of the memory 27 , four intermediate memories 30 , which store the gray or color values of adjacent pixels, four DCT circuits 31 , which carry out a one-dimensional transformation, four intermediate memories 32 , which Spectral coefficients S 1 (1),. . ., S 1 (8),. . ., S 2 (1),. . ., S 2 (8), S 3 (1),. . ., S 3 (8), S 4 (1),. . . S ( 8.2 ) of the block to be replaced, a coefficient buffer 34 and a circuit 35 for inverse DCT transformation. The circuit 35 generates a block which is stored in the memory 27 instead of a defective block 12 . Since the DCT circuits are quite complex, serial processing in multiplex mode with a DCT circuit 31 is recommended instead of parallel operation.
