The invention relates to a colored light according to the preamble
of claim 1, as it is used, for example, as tea or heat lights,
and to a method for their manufacture.
Colored lights are in various forms and styles
known. Overall, they have so far been made available in two basic manufacturing processes
been. The first production method is in the casting machine or in the container
poured the colored liquid paraffin. This has the advantage of a uniform
colored appearance. however, a long cooling time is required, so that there is no continuous
Manufacturing can be used. In addition, there is strong shrinkage on cooling
instead, which requires refilling.
The lights are also made by powder pressing.
The liquid paraffin is colored before spraying. The colored
Powder is then formed into a light in presses, after which the wick is threaded and
finally the light pushed into the container. The advantage of this manufacture
is the possibility of continuous production with high output. Disadvantageous
is, however, that the production machine is cleaned exactly when changing colors
must become. In addition, due to the powder grain and the air inclusions
in the pressed material, no uniform appearance of the color obtained.
erhalten. The object of the invention is to provide a light that has a uniform
has a colored appearance and for continuous production with high output
suitable is. Furthermore, a manufacturing method is to be specified by
which these lights can be manufactured continuously and have an optimal appearance
obtain.
This object is achieved according to the invention by means of a colored light with the
Features of claim 1 solved.
angeordneten unterschiedlichen Schichten besteht.
Accordingly, the colored light according to the invention consists of a container
with colored paraffin mass inside and a wick arranged in the middle.
It is essential that the paraffin mass located in the container consists of two on top of each other
arranged different layers. The lower, much thicker one
Layer is made of powder-pressed, undyed paraffin, while the one above
located, thinner layer composed of colored, poured paraffin
is. This structure according to the invention has the advantage that these lights in very
can advantageously be produced, namely the lower one is uncolored
Layer powder-pressed and after drawing in the wick placed in the container, after which
the colored material is poured on. There is therefore the possibility of one
continuous production with high output, with the individual lights always
Get a consistent, perfect appearance without any shrinkage funnel. It
consequently, the advantages of both known manufacturing methods are exploited here,
namely the advantage of fast and automatic manufacture with high dimensional accuracy
and on the other hand the advantage of a uniformly colored appearance.
According to the invention it is advantageous if the upper, thinner, colored
Layer has a thickness of about 2 mm. This relatively small thickness is enough to
to get a rich shade. In addition, it guarantees an even
Application and rapid cooling of the poured material without removing the layer
shrinks unevenly.
The object is further provided by a method of manufacturing
the lights described in claims 1 and 2 with the process steps
solved according to claim 3.
Accordingly, uncolored paraffin is pressed into a light part,
which in its outer contours the inner contours of this part receiving
The container corresponds and has a lower height than the container. Thereafter
if the uncolored compact is fitted with a wick, which may have a wick holder,
provided and inserted into the container. Finally, a thin layer is stained
Poured liquid paraffin over the uncolored compact into the container, after which
this freezes. It can be seen that the three process steps according to the invention
namely making the uncolored compact, drawing in the wick and inserting it
the container and pouring on the layer of paint a fully automatic, continuous
High output manufacturing allowed. Furthermore there is a variability of the whole
System ensured, as the production machines, especially the part with the
Powder compression no longer requires cleaning because there is no more color change here
takes place. In the case of colored paraffin poured onto it, a purification must be carried out in this sense
not be made. Because the pouring can be done through one or more filling tubes,
supplied by one or more casting compound containers.
This enables a simple color change without the uniform color change
colored appearance of the lights obtained would be impaired.
The special structure of the light according to the invention makes it possible
also, perfumed lights /.u manufacture.
