Diesem Uebelstande hat man dadurch abzuhelfen gesucht, dafs man dem Dolomit möglichst viel Theer zusetzt und somit eine basische Masse verarbeitet, welche infolge ihrer weichteigigen, fast strengflüssigen Beschaffenheit allerdings den Uebergang von einer Stampfschicht zur anderen weniger markirt. Allein derartig hergestellte Böden sind nach dem Brennen zu porös und zu kohlenstoffhaltig.
