A zusammenfällt.

the behind the prism optical parts of the telescope is represented by the line Y-1 '. In Fig.> - the prism has one s () lclic days that a ray XX entering from the right, aiming at a point A on the axis YY, the direction of entry of which encloses an angle of 90 ° with the axis YY, is deflected from the mirror surface by 90 ° from s its original direction, that is, after exiting the prism, the axis YY coincides finitely. So that the ray XX traverses the prism symmetrically, the prism is also given such a position that the center of its mirror surface coincides with point A. In Fig.z the prism is shown in a position in which it is rotated by a certain angle with respect to the one it has in Fig. which it assumes when the rotation takes place around an axis which, in the usual way, passes through the center of its mirror surface and thus through point A. In this position, the beam aimed at point A and parallel to the axis YY after exiting the prism takes the one through the line X-X '. marked course. It no longer emerges from the prism coinciding with the YY axis. In order for it to do this, the prism must be given a certain amount in addition to the rotation about the axis mentioned, a shift towards the rear of the mirror surface (to the left in the drawing), at which the mirror surface remains parallel to itself, e.g. B. so that the prism receives the position of the triangle marked 2. In the case of a simply reflecting prism, the magnitude of this shift depends on the shape and size of the prism and on the ideal of refraction thereof. If the prism is always to be traversed symmetrically by the beam X-X, the center of the mirror surface must move on a path during a rotation which very approximately represents an Archimedean spiral. A movement of the prism in which the point mentioned moved with a good approximation on the practically relevant part of this curve, is achieved by making the prism rotatable about an axis which has a certain finite distance from the usual axis of rotation, provided that this distance is chosen correctly Based on the discussions made, the correct position of the prism axis of rotation can easily be determined. In the example shown in Figs 1'risinas whose end positions are through the with
