Handhabung und Wirkungsweise ist also so, daß man durch entsprechendes Einstellen des schwingbaren Bügels f die gewallte Type vor die Druckstelle bringt und dann durch Druck auf diesen Bügel die Type abdruckt, während man mit der andern Hand den Bügel q anfaßt und'der Maschine die ■richtige Lage gibt. Hebt man dann den Druck auf den Bügel f auf, so wird die gesamte Maschine um ein bestimmtes Maß, den Buchstaben abstand, transportiert. Hierbei daif man nicht den Bügel q festhalten, vielmehr wird dieser nur lose gehalten oder auch nur benutzt, um bei einem etwaigen Abweichen von der geraden Richtung die Maschine wieder richtig einzustellen.
