Abstract

The connector has connector pins (14) for connection of the circuit board (16) with a pin rail (12) and a socket rail (18) locked to the pin rail (12) when the connector is assembled. The locking device employs a C-shaped clamp (22) fitting around the two assembled rails (12,18). One arm of the clamp (22) has a resiliently deformable end section with a catch nose engaging behind one of theconnection pins (14) projecting from the pin rail (12). Pref. the clamp (22) is made of a heat-resistant plastics. The deformable section is pref. provided by two spaced forks, pressed together to allow the catch nose to be fitted behind the connection pin (14).
