Hand of the user to improve the grip
In daily use of the most varied of objects, but also in sport and in similar activities, it is often important to reduce the natural friction between the human hand and the object it grips or touches. A wide variety of lubricants are used for this. Conversely, however, it is often important to effectively increase the friction between the hand and the object in order, for example, to achieve a particularly high degree of grip. A particularly illustrative example is tennis, in which it is crucial to grasp the handle of the tennis racket firmly and securely in order to prevent the racket from rotating around the handle axis under the force of the ball hitting at relatively high speed, which does not only the ball acceptance is significantly impaired, but the return of the ball is also imprecise. This circumstance is of increased importance, especially in betting games, but the same problem often arises in a corresponding manner in daily life. In practice, previously certain liquids are used which dry on the palm of the hand grasping the object and thus increase the grip strength in a particularly simple manner. However, the effect of these agents is of limited duration, as they wane with increasing drying *. Tennis players often bandage the grip hand with bandages specially designed for this purpose. The effectiveness of this measure depends largely on the care taken in applying the bandage. On the other hand, such a bandage impairs the mobility of the hand, and it can ultimately also impair the blood circulation. These things Bsnös ^ sn!
This poses the problem of finding a means that does not only provide the required friction-increasing
Has properties, but also simple and practical to use, but also cheap to use
Manufacture and is of reliable effectiveness and better friction-increasing properties than
the known means, all of which can only be addressed as workarounds. The teaching according to the invention
solves this problem in an extremely advantageous manner in the form of the use of finely ground rosin
as a friction-increasing agent.
Rosin is a natural product which is made from conifers or their resin, especially turpentine,
is won. Hegen in the rosin the most diverse
organic acids in amorphous form. It unfolds in a finely crushed state, i.e. at
correspondingly enlarged surface, a high adhesive effect both against the hand of the wearer, as
also the subject matter encompassed by it. The property that the rosin powder proves to be advantageous
neither connects with the natural sweat secretions nor dissolves in them. The softening point
the rosin is high enough to cause liquefaction for the intended purpose
to exclude common temperatures.
The measure according to the invention is preferably based on a grain size of the rosin of <0.1 mm, for which purpose the usual devices are used which have hitherto been used for grinding such substances. Colophony is already used for the production of paints and glues, but also soaps, glazes and for modifying synthetic resins, which also require the raw material to be ground up accordingly.
It is within the scope of the invention to use a pulverulent rosin mixed with up to 75% by volume of fillers. This measure not only serves to create a cost-effective form of use, but also improves the use properties. So it can prove to be useful to add a sweat-absorbent powdery substance as a filler, which in turn indirectly increases the friction between hand and object and thus strengthens the effectiveness of the powdery rosin. Both inorganic fillers, such as carbonates, silicates, sulfates, silica, and aluminum hydroxide, as well as organic fillers, such as. B. cellulose powder and the finest grain flours, preferably rice flour. These fillers are intimately mixed with the rosin, the surface adhesive properties of which contribute significantly to preventing segregation.
It is within the scope of the invention to add a powdered rosin with an addition of color pigments
use. Rosin already has an inherent color from light yellow to dark brown, but it can change
For practical reasons, it may be necessary to use a special coloring for certain properties of use
to evoke. These pigments also serve as fillers.
Since rosin is already known as a natural product and, as explained above, also in various areas
Is used, the invention presents itself to a certain extent as a new and expedient application
a substance known per se for a very specific purpose, for which it has surprisingly favorable properties,
developed. After use, the Kc! C phonium powder can be easily removed from the hand by washing,
even if it has a color pigment additive. As a result, it turns out to be extremely beneficial
in use.
