Abstract

This electronic apparatus is particularly suitable as a water-level signalling device for bath tubs. The level of the bath water and hence possible overflowing are indicated in good time by means of an acoustic signal. This is achieved by means of a sensor having an integrated suction cup which can be fitted at the desired level on the bath-tub wall. The sensor, which determines the water level, is connected to the signalling device by means of a two-core cable. The location of the signalling device is variable by means of the cable, and the possibility is thus provided of monitoring the water flowing in in any desired space.

Description

Beschreibung description

The invention relates to an acoustic water level detector, the Sensor (Fig. 1 and 2j made of two brass electrodes (1) and a suction cup (2i, cast in) in a plastic block (3). The sensor is via a flexible cable (4) connected to the detector. The 2 housing of the detector (Fig. 3) is constructed in such a way that that the cable (4) wound around the detector base (5) and the sensor in one for it provided recess (6) can be stored. Located in the detector housing (Fig. 4) the electronic control is on a printed circuit (8), the battery in a chamber (9) provided for this purpose 3 and a loudspeaker (10). The signal amplification Darlington amplifiers are used in the detector and a A-stable multivibrator application, the output of which is amplified and on a Speaker lies. A 9 V mono cell serves as the 4 power source. Through a switch (7) the battery must be disconnected from the electrical circuit.

The sensor is activated according to the desired liquid level the smooth inside of the container with a suction cup.

If the liquid in the container rises to the sensor, it closes a circuit across the electrodes to the base of the first transistor. The transistor steers through. The signal is amplified through further stages and controls the multivibrator at. The multivibrator 6 oscillates. The vibrations are amplified and through the Loudspeaker converted into acoustic vibrations.

The related electronic control (Fig. 3) corresponds to the current one State of the art.

The advantage of this device is that the sensor and detector can be located in separate rooms. If, for example, water runs into the bathtub, the detector can be located in the living room and would indicate acoustically if that Water has reached the desired height 8.
