Abstract

The device is adjustable to remove any unevenness of gaps between metal strip which passes over current supply rotating drums immersed in the bath and arcuate consumable electrodes arranged side by side along generators of the drums. The electrodes are movable on support surfaces to permit supply of new electrodes and removal of consumed electrodes from the device. Used to progressively renew consumable electrodes to correct change in electrode thickness due to melting away of electrodes in the electrolyte. The gaps are externally adjusted to meet electrolytic conditions to eliminate edge-overcoating. Irregular wear on support surfaces of the electrode supports is avoided.
