Description

In the patent specification 327986 a transformer with three cores is specified, the windings of which allow to transfer electrical energy from a three-phase network to a two-phase network or the other way around. The essential feature of this arrangement is that two of the three three-phase phases are arranged on two of the three cores, namely each of these two phases has a winding on each of these two cores. the two windings of one phase are in series, the third phase is on its own third core housed.

With this arrangement it is possible to have the main condition for to perform a satisfactory work of each transformer, namely that, that the primary and secondary ampere-turns of each nucleus are changing at every instant need to pick up. Because if you z. B. the number of turns ratios on the two-phase side one can always choose that of the other side in such a way that that condition on each core is sufficient.

A special case can be seen from Fig. 3 of the description of the above Derive patents. If you look at the ratio of the number of turns of winding 12 to i3 a (or r4 to = 3b) becomes larger and larger, then logically the Number of turns of the winding = o always-smaller compared to that of 9 and = i. Do one Finally, according to the present invention, the number of turns at 13 is zero, see above the winding also disappears = o. As Fig. I shows, a transformer is obtained, which only has windings on two of its three cores and is still correct Three-phase to two-phase voltage translated.

A further simplification of the winding can be found in the following It is obvious that instead of the circuit of Fig. i that of Fig. 2 can be chosen, because it is of course immaterial whether one runs from 3 through = i b and then through 9 a to 2 or first through g a and then by = i b. Now the winding ga and gb can be combined according to Fig. 2a, as a result of which there is a saving in copper weight and winding labor, since core 9 now has fewer turns and the cross-section of the common winding is smaller can be than the sum the cross-sections of the separate windings, because the current is smaller than the sum of the individual currents.
