Es läßt sich dies nur durch Wassbrkühlung der Wandungen def Rohre oder Schachte erreichen, in welchen das heiße Material abwärts oder seitlich gefördert wird. Dabei treten gewisse Übelstände- ein. Erstlich die Bildung von Kesselstein, zweitens die daraus sich ergebende Gefahr des Durchbrennens der Kühlwandungen, endlich erhält man nur hCißes Wasser, mit dem, infolge seiner großer, Menge, wenig anzufangen ist, während man unter Vermeidung aller dieser Übelstände mittels der den heißen Massen entzogenen Wärme Dampf von hoher Spannung erzeugen könnte, der seine technische Verwendung fände.Cooling shaft on electric ovens for the hot masses emerging from them.
