Abstract
The pair of screw rotors comprise a female rotor (1) and a male rotor (2) rotating about parallel axes, the female rotor having a rotor tooth form produced in normal temp. conditions. The male rotor is formed by generating loci of a flank of each of two surfaces of the female rotor, the surfaces being a surface of advance and a surface of retrocession. The male rotor tooth form is produced from the female tooth form when in an elevated temp. situation, e.g. during normal rotor operation. The surface of advance has two flanks (7,8) while the surface of retrocession has three (9,10,11).
