Description
It has been found that solutions containing hydrogen peroxide can be protected from disintegration to a great extent by adding dextrose to them; Additions of this anticatalyte of only 0.2 percent are sufficient to protect the solution even in spite of an alkaline reaction and hours of heating of the solutions up to 70 ° and above. Solutions made from preformed hydrogen peroxide can be used, but just as well those made from sodium superoxide, perborate or the like Superoxyds wishes, as with many technical reactions, in which oxygen should appear as an active element of the chemical or physical process in the state of origin. The addition of glucose can be made with the same success in the case of hydrogen peroxide producing compounds.
