Abstract
Description
Ladeeinrichtung für batterie betriebene ElektrogeräteCharging device for battery-operated electrical devices
The invention relates to a charging device for the battery of a Electrical device with a built-in charger in a charging case, whose for Connection with the battery certain lines led out of the charging case are, with a light-emitting diode arranged in the charging case as a display device for is used for the charging process.
A known such charging device has a charger with a small size Charging current, the light-emitting diode arranged in the charging case during the charging process lights continuously. An indication that the required end-of-charge voltage is reached, does not take place, so that, as a rule, some time still elapses in the overcharging of the battery takes place. Since the charging current is small, the Charging time is correspondingly very large, which is extended by the time in the overcharging takes place. This has the disadvantage of large downtimes for the electrical device.
The invention is based on the object of a charging device of to be trained at the beginning so that while avoiding a harmful Overcharging the battery compared to the downtime when using the electrical device the familiar can largely be kept small.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that a quick charger with automatic switch-off forms part of the charging device, and that of the electronics of the quick charger @ is a leuch @ diode de @ a @ t @ taxable, represent: @ie during de @ Ladevo @@@@@ @@ u @ h @@@ and by blinking at a low frequency anz (inc, d: r .; done Charge the voltage between the final voltage and the nominal voltage. and oscillates, with a larger J3link frequency indicating that the forming ability the battery and thus the original:;.
größtmögliche Ladekapazität nachgelassen hat.maximum possible loading capacity has decreased.
Thanks to the automatic switch-off, the battery cannot be overcharged, this is considerable given the relatively large charging current of the quick charger of the battery Would cause harm. The battery is preserved and has a long service life. The automatic switch-off advantageously allows the charging case to be used as a shelf to use for the electrical device, which can be charged continuously. The extreme short charging time, together with the optical signals, allow previously unknown Possible uses of the electrical device without long downtimes. The flashing signals higher frequency excite the special compared to the blinking signals with lower frequency Attention of the user of the charging device. In advantageous WemfseheRie high-frequency Signals promptly alert you that a battery has been exchanged for a new one must be so that proper use of the electrical device is always guaranteed is.
Another feature of the invention is a sound source that is used by the electronics of the quick charger can be controlled in such a way that it is during the charging process emits no signals and interrupted tones with low frequency, if intact Battery the end-of-charge voltage is reached and the voltage between the end-of-charge voltage and nominal voltage oscillates back and forth, with the interrupted audio signals being higher in frequency if the forming capacity of the battery and thus its original, maximum possible loading capacity has decreased.
The acoustic signal device makes the optical one more advantageous Way, since the reception of the sound signals is independent of a continuous optical Observation of the charging device is.
In order to increase the sound intensity, the invention provides one of the Electronics of the quick charger control a sacre loud sound source, e.g. a membrane horn or a membrane horn.
Due to the sound amplification, the state of charge can be of great advantage the battery of an electrical device in large workshop rooms with strong background noises prevail, are displayed.
In an advantageous further development of the invention is the charging case as a charging stand for charging e.g. 3. the battery of a soldering iron formed, wherein Contacts connected to the charger and the electrical device are conical metal rings one of which is located on the electrical device and the other on the charging stand, the corresponding control rings in engagement with one another in the loading position stand.
Since all detachable electrical contact connections are unavoidable transition resistances must have them, especially when using a quick charger with his relatively large charging currents in order to avoid subsequent voltage drops the connection points of the contacts are kept as small as possible. This requirement meet the conical contact rings with their large contact surfaces in an advantageous manner Way. They guarantee that they are perfectly secured against loosening and unintentional loosening electrical connections through the tight fit in the charging position, which is still through the weight of the electrical appliance is increased.
Eine weitere Ausführungsvariante der Erfindung, die .3.Another embodiment of the invention, the .3.
zur Aufladung der Batterie eines Sprechfunkgeräts dienen kann, zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß das Ladegehäuse als Ladeständer und Wandhalter ausgebildet ist, in dessen Rückwand Löcher zur Aufnahme von Wandhaken, Nägel oder dgl. und ein Haftmagnet angeordnet sind.can be used to charge the battery of a walkie-talkie, draws characterized in that the charging case is designed as a charging stand and wall bracket is, in the rear wall holes for receiving wall hooks, nails or the like. And a Holding magnet are arranged.
The combined embodiment of the charging housing can be advantageous For attachment to walls made of masonry or the like. Or alternatively for attachment on steel parts, e.g. in motor vehicles.
Advantageous and reliable safeguards against unintentional Loosening the electrical contact connections are through permanent magnets with opposite Realized polarities, one with the electrical appliance, the other with the Charging case is firmly connected.
The invention also has an advantageous additional device for the subject, which is used on the charging stand to charge the battery of a soldering iron. This additional device is a thermal protection chamber, which in the loading position of the Soldering iron completely surrounds the heated parts and for cleaning purposes Easily removable from the charging stand and from there by removing the bottom part resulting opening can be removed.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, which are used in all types of electrical devices with batteries can, the charging case is a plug housing that can be connected to a mains socket formed, which in addition to a power transformer connected to its secondary winding Includes quick charger with automatic switch-off from which the charging lines through an opening in the housing that the quick charger over Sockets and pins can connect to the electrical device, with electrical Safety devices can be controlled by the electronics of the quick charger, which guarantee that no charging current can flow if the battery contacts are short-circuited or the battery is connected incorrectly by reversing the poles.
Preferred embodiments of the invention are with all Details described. The selected examples are in the following figures shown schematically. 1 and 2 show, partially in section, an embodiment of the two Invention for charging the battery of a soldering iron in two views, Fig. 3 and 4, partly in section, another exemplary embodiment for charging the battery of a radio transceiver in two views, FIGS. 5 to 8 partially in section preferred embodiment in four Axisichten.mit a connector housing.
The charging device according to the invention is used in battery-operated electrical devices, such as soldering irons, walkie-talkies, drills, haircutters, small vacuum cleaners, blowers, pumps, etc. This short list gives only a few examples of all types of battery-operated devices in which the invention can be used with great advantage comes. Charging devices for the two devices first listed above are selected application examples and a charging device for electrical devices of all kinds with their individual features.
In Figures 1 and 2, 1 is designed as a charging stand Charging case denotes, in which a soldering iron 2 in the manner shown for the purpose Charging its battery takes place. The one stored in the lower part of the housing The charger, which is not visible in the figures, is connected to the mains via the cable 8 connected. According to a particular feature of the invention is the charger a quick charger with automatic switch-off. With the switch 9 the power supply of the quick charger must be connected to the mains voltage.
The cap 1 'of the charging stand has a continuous one that is accessible from above opening that tapers conically towards the bottom. In the upper part of the opening is a arranged conical metal ring 5, which is bent upwards and laterally is held by rivets 7 arranged in the cap. From shown in Fig. 1 on the left The rivet leads a conductive connection. ' to an electric from the., quick charger Cable (on the left in fig. 1). A second cable coming from the quick charger (on the right in Fig.) is with a lower conical metal ring 6 connected, which is arranged in the lower part of the opening. With the conical Rings 5 and 6 correspond to conical metal rings 3 and 4 on the soldering iron 2 are arranged. The two rings 3 and 4 grip when the soldering iron is in the loading position into rings 5 and 6. When bringing the soldering iron into the loading position the corresponding cone-shaped rings by hand pressure while manufacturing perfect electrical connections tightly pressed together. This creates large-area metallic connections with negligibly low contact resistance. The connections of the conical rings are due to their positive locking against lateral Movements secured sufficiently. That caused by vibrations or shocks The adhesive forces are due to forces that could cause upward movements the tight fit of the interlocking rings and the weight of the soldering iron opposite.
A light-emitting diode 10 arranged in the cap 1 'of the charging stand is compared to known light emitting diodes by the quick charger according to the invention in such a way controllable so that it can exert three modes of action alone, which are described below will. As long as the charging current is flowing, the light-emitting diode sends out a continuous signal, this goes out when the end-of-charge voltage is reached, at which the charging current is automatic is switched off. The diode lights up again when the voltage drops charging current flows again to the nominal voltage. As long as the electrical device is switched on Fast charger, there is a constant change between the end-of-charge voltage and nominal voltage and thus a periodic interruption of the charging current takes place, whereby the light emitting diode emits flashing signals. The flashing frequency is of the forming capacity depends on the battery. As long as this has not yet subsided, the battery has their original, largest possible charging capacity at a relatively low flashing frequency of approx. 1 Hertz can be seen. When the forming capacity of the battery is noticeable subsides, one observes that the slow Flashing in a faster one Flashing stops.
With 11 is arranged in the cap of the landing stand acoustic Signal transmitter referred to in the form of a sound transmitter, which is another advantageous Represents feature of the invention. The sound transmitter is also from the electronics controlled by the fast charger, in contrast to the light-emitting diode in such a way that that no acoustic signal is emitted during the charging time.
According to the processes at the light emitting diode show with smaller Frequency interrupted tones indicate that the end-of-charge voltage has been reached and this oscillates back and forth between its value and the nominal voltage, the original The charge capacity of the battery has not yet decreased. Interrupted with higher frequencies Sounds indicate a decrease in the original charge capacity. the acoustic signals can be generated by a piezoelectric sound transmitter, whose low sound intensity will be sufficient in some cases. That in the Fig. 1: <illustrated embodiment of the invention usually comes in Workshops for use. Because of the large background noise, there is a louder one here Sound source desired. For this reason, the invention also sees sound sources with greater intensity, e.g. an electrical membrane horn or the like, which with the previously described modes of action of the electronics of the quick charger can be controlled.
The number 13 denotes a thermal protection chamber, which is a special Additional device of the charging device for charging the battery of a soldering iron is. Fig. 1 clearly shows that the heat protection chamber from the charging stand easily is removable and can be removed from this after removing the bottom part 1 " can. The purpose of the chamber is to protect the inner walls of the charging stand from heat radiation a hot soldering iron, using it as a container for tarnishing Solder is used.
With the switch 12, the soldering iron can be switched off when it should not be used for a long time. But if the soldering iron is with Unterorechun », s If you want to use it often, you can charge the battery and heat it up of Piston continued with inserted switches 9 and 12 # inside the heat protection chamber will. This continuous operation is due to the automatic switch-off of the quick charger possible, also because the charging current is greater than the self-consumption of the Soldering iron and the soldering iron has an automatic temperature control.
The heat protection chamber ensures that there is no unnecessary heat energy is emitted and thus contributes to saving energy.
The embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 is used for charging the battery of a walkie-talkie 16, which is connected to 18 the switch 17 and the Mik ## phon is drawn in the loading position. In the lower part of the charging case 14 is a in the Figures not visible quick charger with automatic switch-off arranged that over the connector device 20 can be connected to the network. So that the loading housing can be used as a charging stand and optionally also as a wall bracket, it is plumb running Pückwand 14 'with holes 15 for receiving wall hooks, nails or Like. Fasteners provided for masonry.
Since the two-way radio is used a lot, e.g. by the police or the armed forces is used, the invention also provides a magnet 25 on the rear wall, in order to be able to attach the wall bracket to steel parts in motor vehicles.
Cables coming from the battery end in contacts 24. These correspond to hook-shaped spring contacts 21 with their long ends lead to the quick charger. When the walkie-talkie 16 is placed in the charging position hand pressure from top to bottom causes elastic pressure Verbi.etrunfr the Rontakt spring mandrel 21, the bending due to the attraction two permanent magnets 22 and 23 is maintained. The magnet 22 is with the Electrical device 16 and magnet 23 are firmly connected to charging stand 14. The lengths Ends of the springs 21 are not in the lower part of the charging stand or wall holder 14 visibly supported, so that the magnetic lock according to the invention is under use the stretched bending forces in the hook-shaped contact springs flawless Contact connections guaranteed. With a light emitting diode 19 is referred to, which the same mode of operation as the light-emitting diode described in FIGS. 1 and 2 has. Parallel to the light emitting diode an already described sound transmitter can also be used.
The embodiment of the invention shown in FIGS. 5 to 8 is characterized in that it can be used with all battery-operated electrical devices of any kind. For this purpose, the charging case is not intended to accommodate the electrical device whose battery is to be charged. The charging housing consisting of the base 27 and the cap 26 is designed as a plug housing with the plugs 28 for receiving the plug pins in a mains socket. From the quick charger with automatic switch-off, not shown in the figures, which is held in the space 32 by grooved strips 33, a cable leads through the opening 34 to the electrical device, which is not the subject of the invention, but thanks to the inventive design of the charging device can even be wireless. Lines 29 go from the plug pins 28 to the primary winding of the mains transformer 30, the secondary winding of which leads via the lines 31 to the rapid charger. With 39 and 38 a light-emitting diode and a sound transmitter are referred to, the modes of action and intended purposes in the embodiments of the invention according to FIGS. 1 to 4 have already been explained. Features known per se are the cable strain relief 34 ', a snap lock 37 on the base 27 and the cap 26 of the connector housing, as well as the potting compound 35 and the partition 36, which serve for moisture protection, insulation and anti-fall protection. Further advantageous features of the invention form switchable electrical safety devices from the electronics of the quick charger, which ensure that no charging current can flow if the battery contacts are short-circuited or the battery is incorrectly connected by reversing the poles, and that a charging current only flows when the battery is in use is correct. For easy installation and removal, the electronic circuit board can easily be pushed vertically into the grooved strips 33 serving as holders, which are easily accessible in the space 32 of the base 27 after the snap lock 37 has been unlocked.
The invention brings a considerable enrichment of the technology of Battery chargers for electrical appliances. The quick charger with automatic switch-off guarantees short charging times, whereby the battery is largely conserved because Overloads cannot occur.
The combination of one designed as a charging stand or wall bracket Charging housing with the quick charger with automatic switch-off has the advantage that the charging stand can be used as a shelf for the electrical device, with continuous is charged so that the electrical device remains ready for use. The ones with low frequency Interrupted visual and / or acoustic signals indicate that the battery fully charged and thus it is guaranteed that the electrical device without premature Failure can be used for longer work. In an advantageous manner the user of the device by the periodically interrupted with higher frequencies Signals alerted that the utility value of the battery has declined Has. This can then be replaced with a new one in good time so that the device always stays can work properly. The present invention is not limited to that features shown and described so far. Depending on the intended use, the Charging device while maintaining the inventive idea also from the description of the figures have different embodiments. Impeccable contact connections are for the purpose Avoidance of large contact resistances with the relatively large charging currents of the quick charger necessary. There are therefore resilient plug connections within the scope of the invention with positive locking, with combinations of simple plug connections with magnetic locks prove beneficial.
