Die Erfindung betrifft die Befestigung des Absatzes an Schuhen, Stiefeln u. dgl., derart, daß jedermann ohne Kenntnis der Schuhmacherei und ohne Werkzeug in der Lage ist, den Absatz zu befestigen und auszuwechseln. Dieser Erfindungszweck wird dadurch erreicht, daß der Absatz (gedacht ist hier ein Absatz aus Ersatzstoffen, z. B. Holz) in bekannter Weise an seiner Außenseite mit einer Nut versehen ist, in die der umgebogene Rand eines am Fersenleder befestigten festen Rahmens (z. B. Metallrahmens) greift. Hierdurch ist der Absatz gegen Abfallen in der Richtung senkrecht zur Fußsohle gesichert.
