Seltener sind chirurgische Notsituationen, z. B. Arbeitsunfälle, sowie pädiatrische Notfälle. Nahezu Raritäten sind Schädel-Hirn-Traumen, gynäkologische Notfälle incl. Geburten und Notfälle aus den sogenannten "kleinen Fächern". Notfallkoffer stehen bisher vorwiegend von den Firmen Weinmann, Hanau oder Söhngen in verschiedenen Größen zur Verfügung. Das größte Koffermaß beträgt ca 51 χ 42 χ 20 cm. In den später sich anschließenden Überlegungen soll dieses Maß nicht überschritten werden. Dieser Kasten nimmt nicht die volle Breite des Koffers ein, sondern zum abnehmbaren Deckel hin finden sich 2 unterschiedlich große, ca 1 cm tiefe Räume, die einmal eine Lampe (Stiftlampe) und zum anderen zusammengefaltete Aluminiumfolie aufnehmen können. Der restliche Freiraum des Koffers zeichnet sich durch ein Schubladensystem von ca 6 Schubladen aus, die wie das Sauerstoff-Vakuum-Fach mit den Buchstaben nach der "A BC- Regel " beschriftet sind. Die Schubladen sind an der Rückwand mit einem Magneten versehen, der ein unbeabsichtigtes Herausrutschen aus dem Koffer verhindern soll.
