Heutige Mobiltelefone bieten zwar für häufig benötigte und wechselnde Einstellungen Schnell-Zugriffstasten. So bieten beispielsweise moderne Mobiltelefone die Möglichkeit, den Klingelton für bestimmte Situationen mit einem einzigen langen Tastendruck (z.B. der Stern-Taste, o.a. ) an- oder abzuschalten. Jedoch muß in den meisten Fällen dafür zuvor die Tastensperre entriegelt (und meistens danach auch wieder angeschaltet) werden. Somit kommt man (auch wegen der Tastenpositionierung) kaum umhin, das Telefon aus der Hosen- oder Jackentasche zu ziehen, um die Einstellungsänderung(en) vorzunehmen und sich auf dem Display über die erfolgte(n) Einstellungsänderung(en) zu vergewissern. In vielen Fällen kommt man aber unerwartet in Situationen, in denen man nur hoffen kann, daß das Telefon gerade jetzt nicht klingelt. Genau in solchen Situationen ist es dann aber unangebracht, das Telefon herauszuholen und die Einstellungsänderung(en) vorzunehmen.Today's mobile phones do offer quick access keys for frequently used and changing settings.
