Description
The present invention relates to an injection device for internal combustion engines!], in which the liquid fuel without air injection only according to the delivery of the fuel pump overcoming the loading of the injection valve spring tension by an annular Valve gap is injected. The characteristic of the novelty of the injector according to the invention consists essentially in that the exit of the fuel from the .Ventilringpalt - by a conically narrowing annular space that only arises when the valve is opened takes place directly in the combustion chamber of the machine, as shown in Fig. 1 of the enclosed Drawing shows. As a result, compared to the previously known injection devices, in which the fuel is also supplied without air injection or by a self. widening valve ring gap of a spring-loaded Injection valve (see. Fig. 2) is injected by the fuel pump, the following Benefits achieved:
The emerging fuel is atomized in the form of a full cone and thus a better and more intimate mixture of the fuel, which is usually injected against the piston crown, with the entire combustion air is achieved than is possible with an injection valve with a conically widening annular gap in which the fuel is at Application of high spring pressure and the resulting extremely low valve lift (only about 1 ^ 0 mm) emerges in the form of a very fine and strongly diverging conical jacket veil and. also ricochets off the piston crown, so that considerable parts of the combustion chamber or the combustion air remain unmixed with fuel. Further, in the injector according to the present invention, the speed of the exiting fuel particles is increased and as a result of the narrowing annular gap up to a maximum in the cone tip thereby improving-A 1 on the speed-dependent sputtering action, while in the known cone veil as a result of the through magnifying Annular gap decreasing exit speed of the fuel is unfavorable. Also, due to the very minimal, barely perceptible stroke of the injection valve when the valve ring gap narrows according to the invention, the escaping fuel is guided very close to the conical surface of the valve up to the tip, and there, i.e. at the highest speed, there is an intense impact of the colliding fuel particles instead, whereby the atomizing effect is also significantly increased. Such an impact effect of colliding fuel particles does not occur at all when the valve ring gap widens.
: Finally, the narrowing valve ring gap according to the invention enables the spring load to be as high as possible and under the assumption that it remains the same
Diese Gefahr ist natürlich bei einem \rentil mit sich verengendem Ringspalt infolge des an sich zwar ebenfalls noch sehr minimalen, aber gegenüber dem \'rentil mit sich erweiterndem Ringspalt relativ größeren Hubes wesentlich geringer als bei jenem.large outlet cross-sections as in the case of a widening valve ring gap, the use of larger valve lifts than in the latter case, since the diameter d of the ring gap at the outlet point is significantly smaller in the former case with the same thickness of the valve spindle, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 can be easily recognized. This is important insofar as there is a certain practical limit to the extremely minimal stroke, which is caused by the high spring tension, because of the fine impurities in the fuel. It can be seen that ζ. B. a valve with only 1 Z 100 mm valve stroke must be infinitely more sensitive with regard to the purity of the fuel than one with 1 Z 20 mm valve stroke, since bodies that are only slightly larger than 1 Z 10 OnIm are in the former Do not pass the trap through the released annular gap, but get stuck in the valve seat surface and thereby cause the valve to leak. This risk is of course likewise not very minimal at a \ r alve with it due to the narrowing annular gap itself but over the \ 'r alve relatively larger with it widening annular gap stroke substantially lower than in the former.
The above-mentioned differences in the mode of operation of the valves only apply for injectors under high spring load and working without air injection, which are only produced by pumping the fuel pump while overcoming the spring tension, d. H. can be opened very minimally without special control, while those that work and are controlled with air injection Injection valves the atomization process as a result of the significantly larger valve lift caused by the cam control (approx 2 to 7 mm, depending on the size of the machine, i.e. at least 40 times the valve lift than with the subject matter of the invention) and at the moment of the exit of the highly stressed Injection air takes place sudden expansion of the same, causing the fuel is torn apart in all directions immediately at the exit point is completely different and with the atomization process without blowing air and without control cannot be compared. The purpose of the invention, however, is only with the injection valve operating without air injection the previously known valves of this type a more complete atomization "and combustion To achieve the fuel, what after the previously with the invention and the known injection valves without air injection made comparative tests was actually achieved by the former as a result of the better atomization and distribution of the fuel in the combustion chamber Machine under otherwise identical operating conditions, a significantly lower smoke formation in the exhaust as well as a higher one Maximum performance compared to the known machines working without air injection became.
On the drawing, in Fig. 3, an embodiment of the injection device according to the invention is shown in vertical section. The spindle i carries at its lower end a tapering valve cone h which projects into the combustion chamber m and which is pressed onto its seat in g by a strong spring k The fuel pump is injected into the combustion chamber m , the valve being lifted by overcoming the strong spring saving k with each pump stroke at most * /., "Mm, so that the fuel flows through an extremely fine, conically narrowing annular gap directly into the combustion's ** 5 space, m of the machine is injected and atomized in the manner described The stroke of the injection valve shown in FIG.
