Durch im Bremsattel 5 eingearbeitete Sensoren wird permanent die genaue Radumdrehgeschwindigkeit ermittelt, und über eine Auswertelektronik 3 ein blockieren der Räder erkannt, wodurch das Bypassventil 4 den Bremsdruck reduziert, und dem Rad wieder freien Lauf garantiert. Weiterhin werden durch die mechanisch herangeführten Bremsklötze in denen sich Spulen befinden eine Induktionsspannung erzeugt, die für die Stomversorgung der Anlage zuständig ist und die Bremswirkung unterstützt.
