Description:

Since waste disposal is subject to a fee and everyone only wants to pay for their own waste, it is advisable to close the lid of the waste container, as it is usually outside and accessible to everyone. In general, bicycle locks, chains, padlocks and so on are used to secure this. The waste container is often damaged in this way, e.g. by drilling holes. A lid lock that is already known and which is attached to the lid handle using a padlock is impractical, as on the one hand a separate locking device (padlock) is required and on the other hand this lid lock on one side of the lid is not sufficient, as the decentralized attachment to one of the two lid handles still allows the lid on the other side to be lifted up high enough to still be able to throw in small waste.

The object underlying the invention is to develop a lid closure for garbage containers with hinged lids, which enables easy handling for the consumer and ensures that the lid is completely closed safely, without damaging the garbage container.
