tanning, as the acrylic chair Fig. 1, due to its light and radiation permeability, enables a total tanning of the whole body in a half-sitting position in the almost hexagonal irradiation cabin Fig. 4.

The irradiation device according to Fig. 4, page 1, drawing no. 5020 is accessed via a hinged door, which can be easily closed with a roller underneath the door and accessed via a step.

The hole in the acrylic plate Pos. 7 allows effortless transport of several acrylic chair sizes that are required for different sizes of people.

The half-sitting position offers the person a pleasant rest, which was previously not possible in the standing position.

Clear round acrylic chair in a round design and inclined surface with curved seat area (item 11, page 2) and height adjustment (item 14) to compensate for different body sizes. The connection to the substructure (item 16, page 2) also consists of acrylic tubes (items 12 and 15) which can be moved into one another, adjusted by spring tension in the clamping device (item 14), and can be moved in height by pushing or pulling in holes (item 13) in tube (item 12). The curved seat (item 16) prevents slipping when wearing or without clothing (bikini/swimming trunks). The foot (item 16) can be made of rust-proof material. A sophisticated 3-point support prevents the acrylic chair from tipping over (Fig. 3, page 2).

State of the art

The invention relates to a device for irradiation, in particular for tanning the skin, with several UV radiation sources.

Devices of the type mentioned above are known in many different designs, for example as large-area radiation walls in front of which a person to be irradiated can stand or on which the person to be irradiated can lie down (so-called radiation beds). Furthermore, an essentially cylindrical radiation cabin is known in which several UV radiation sources are arranged on the inside of a cylinder shell up to 2 m high.

Using these well-known, large-area and UV-intensive radiation surfaces, an intensive tanning effect on the skin is achieved even after a short exposure time. The disadvantage of these well-known radiation devices, however, is the uneven tanning of the human body, since all-round radiation only achieves this.

In the case of a radiation bed with a trough-shaped lying surface (support surface) and a similarly designed cover, both of which are equipped with UV radiation sources, the radiation output on the sides of a person being irradiated is not sufficient to achieve the same tan as a directly irradiated area, e.g. the back.

The aim of the invention is to avoid the disadvantages of the known devices of the type mentioned at the beginning and to create an irradiation device that ensures an even tan all around for the person being irradiated, whereby the irradiation process itself only takes a short time. This aim is achieved by the person being irradiated getting an even tan all around in a comfortable sitting or standing position on a clear, highly UV-permeable acrylic chair, without ugly white spots on the back (on a lying surface, the contact points on the shoulder blades and bottom remain white for most people).
