    • a) einem lichtempfindlichen Element (01) zur photoelektrischen Konvertierung der auf es fallenden Lichtintensität in einen lichtintensitätsabhängigen Photostrom;
    • b) einer integrierenden Vorrichtung (04, 05), um innerhalb einer Integrationsphase den besagten Photostrom über eine gewisse Integrationszeitdauer zu einem Pixelsignal (06) aufzuintegrieren;
    • c) einer zeitdauersteuernden Vorrichtung (07-10) zur Bestimmung des Anfangs- und Endzeitpunkts der Integrationszeitdauer;
    • d) einer Auslesevorrichtung (16) zur Weitergabe des Pixelsignals (06) während einer Auslesephase, das der Menge des aufintegrierten Photostroms entspricht;
  • b) einer Vorrichtung zur Bearbeitung der vorbenannten, von den Pixeln weitergegebenen Signale und Bereitstellung daraus erzeugter Signale;
1. Device for operating integrating image sensors, consisting of
  • a) an arrangement of light-converting pixels, each consisting of
    • a) a light-sensitive element (01) for photoelectric conversion of the light intensity falling on it into a light intensity-dependent photocurrent;
    • b) an integrating device (04, 05) for integrating said photocurrent into a pixel signal (06) over a certain integration period within an integration phase;
    • c) a time control device (07-10) for determining the start and end time of the integration time period;
    • d) a readout device ( 16 ) for passing on the pixel signal (06) during a readout phase, which corresponds to the amount of the integrated photocurrent;
  • b) a device for processing the aforementioned signals passed on by the pixels and providing signals generated therefrom;
  • c) a pixel-controlling device which supplies all of the above-mentioned devices which are present in all pixels with control signals in such a way that the aforementioned signal represents a signal reproducing the light image incident on the image sensor,
wherein the period-controlling device (07-10) of the pixel has means such that it is influenced by the integrating device (04, 05) of the same pixel such that the period-controlling device (07-10) determines the end time of the integration period depending on that Pixels falling light intensity so that higher light intensities lead to shorter integration times, while lower light intensities lead to longer integration times and that integration time information ( 14 ) can be stored in each pixel after the integration period, which provides information about how long the integration time of the respective pixel , the integration duration information ( 14 ) is read out together with the integrated pixel signal (06).
