Device for fastening conveyor belt covers in particular

The invention relates to a device for fastening conveyor belt covers in particular to stationary profile parts or the like. '

Conveyor belt covers, for example made of galvanized corrugated steel sheet, are attached to an existing support profile using screws or similar. For example, hook screws are used here, which are passed through the covers and engage with the existing profile on the inside. With this type of attachment, it is necessary that the hook screws are passed through the covers at the exact height.

The invention is based on the object of improving a device of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that

it is possible to attach the cover hoods to the existing profile or profile part.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in claim 1.

Further embodiments of the invention emerge from the subclaims.

The invention makes it possible to attach cover hoods of a conveyor belt to the associated profiles provided on site in a simple and quick manner by inserting a tensioning strap with a clamping piece into a profile part of the existing profile on one side, while a handle is formed on the other side of the tensioning strap, the shape of which is designed in such a way that the handle with its hook-shaped end can be easily pushed under the profile part of the existing profile while simultaneously tightening the tensioning strap.

With the fastening device according to the invention it is thus possible, after the cover hoods have been put on, to attach a tensioning strap on one side to the corresponding profile part of the existing profile by means of a clamping piece, after which the tensioning strap is placed over the cover hood and fastened on the other side to the opposite profile part by means of the handle.

Preferably, a spring, preferably a tension spring, is formed between the tensioning strap and the handle, which facilitates the fastening of the tensioning strap.

A preferred embodiment of the invention is described with reference to Figure 1. Figure 1 shows a front view of a cover 1 for conveyor belts or the like, where the cover 1 is preferably made of corrugated steel sheet. The fastening device according to the invention has a tensioning strap 2 which, as shown in Figure 1, is guided over the cover in the area of a recess in the corrugated sheet. The cover 1 itself sits on a profile 3, 4 provided on site, preferably in the form of a rail, on which a profile part 5, 6 is arranged, which extends outwards, on the one hand to support the cover 1 and on the other hand is provided with profile projections 8, 9 which are designed, for example, as downward-pointing projections and are used to hook in or hold a clamping piece 10 and a handle 11, as will be described below.

As can be seen from Figure 1, there is a tension spring 13 at at least one end of the tension band 2, which in turn is connected to the handle 11. The handle 11 is provided with a first leg 12, which is provided at an angle of less than approximately 90° in the direction of the cover 1 and in turn carries a second leg 13, which runs downwards at an angle of approximately 90° and has a hook-shaped end 14. The hook-shaped end 14 is bent in such a way that it can be moved under the profile attachment 9 of the profile part 6.

The clamping piece 10 itself also has a hook-shaped end 10a, which is pushed under the profile part 8 and creates a firm anchoring relative to the profile 4.

The clamping piece 10 has a substantially straight leg 16, at the upper end of which an unbent hook 17 is formed for fastening to the tensioning band 2, while at the lower end a hook-shaped section 18 is formed, which runs back to a curved section 18a and defines a receiving slot 19, the width of which corresponds approximately to the width of the profile part 8.

According to the above description, the handle 11 has a first leg 12 which protrudes from the handle 11 at an angle of less than approximately 90° and has a second leg 13 which maintains an angle of approximately 90° with respect to the first leg 12. A hook-shaped section 14 is formed on the second leg 13 and is intended for gripping under the profile part 9.

As can be seen from Figure 2, the leg 16 can be slightly angled in order to bring about an adjustment between the vertical and the beveled direction of the tensioning band 2 caused by the guidance of the tensioning band 2 according to Figure 1.

According to the invention, the tensioning strap 2 is hooked with the clamping piece 10 into the profile attachment 8, which projects downwards, for example, from below, after which the tensioning strap 2 is placed over the respective cover 1 and is secured by means of the handle 11 on the other side, overlapping the profile attachment 9, which preferably extends downwards. The tensioning spring 13 allows the handle 11 to be pulled further downwards from the position shown in Figure 1, so that due to the effect of the tensioning spring 13, after the handle 11 has been hooked onto the profile attachment 9 of the profile part 6, the handle 11 is pulled upwards by the tensioning spring 13 and fixed.

The shape of the handle 11 shown in Figure 1 and Figure 3 ensures that there is sufficient distance between the handle 11 and the respective cover 1, whereby

easy gripping of the handle 11 is ensured.

The profiles 4, preferably U-shaped rails, are used to support the cover hoods 1 as well as the conveyor belt systems not shown in Figure 1.

On the other hand, the fastening of the cover hoods 1 can also be achieved by placing the tensioning strap with clamping piece 10 and handle 11 over the respective cover hood 1, after which the tensioning strap 2 is fixed on one side by means of the clamping piece 10 against the profile part 5, after which the tensioning strap 2 is then fastened on the other side by placing the handle 11 over the profile attachment 9 to the profile part 6.

Conversely, the tensioning strap 2 can be removed again easily and quickly.

From Figure 1 it is also clear that the cover hoods have a substantially U-shaped profile, with the side legs of this U-shaped profile of the cover hoods 1 running substantially straight.

The profile parts 5, 6 protrude slightly laterally over the legs of the cover hoods 1 and extend essentially vertically downwards. Between the rails 3, 4 and the associated profile parts 5, 6 there are webs on which the cover hoods 1 can rest.

The profiles 3, 4 themselves are essentially U-shaped and are installed on site to accommodate the cover hoods 1 according to the embodiment in Figure 1 in such a way that they are opposite one another with their openings.
