Wenn relativ wenig feines Material vorhanden ist, ist der Formkörper porig und damit wasserdurchlässig. Während es auch Anwendungen für wasserdurchlässige Formkörper gibt, wird bei der Anwendung als Kammerfüllelement relative Wasserundurchlässigkeit angestrebt. Deshalb sollte der Anteil "Elastomergranulat" einen hohen Prozentsatz feines Material enthalten, beispielsweise 10 bis 15 Gew.% Gummimehl, bezogen auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung.
