Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Fugenabdeckband. Solche Fugenabdeckbänder sind beispielsweise aus dem deutschen Gebrauchsmuster 75 3 8 967 bekannt und werden dazu benutzt, die einer abzudichtenden oder auszufüllenden Fuge benachbarten Flächen gegen Verschmutzung zu schützen und um einen glatten und geraden Fugenrand auf beiden Seiten entlang der Fuge zu erzeugen. Nach dem Abtrennen verbleibt eine Kante, die aus einer Perforation oder Sollbruchlinie entstanden ist, und die wegen dieses Trennvorgangs nicht vollständig glatt sein kann.
