In Fig. 1 ist ein Einkaufswagen 1 dargestellt, der ein Fahrgestell 2 aufweist, an welchem vier Rollen 3 angeordnet sind und das einen zur Aufnahme von Ware bestimmten Korb 4 trägt, an dessen oberem rückwärtigen Ende 9 zwei seitliche Schiebegriffe 5 angeordnet sind. An einer horizontalen Achse 17 des Einkaufswagens 1 ist ein Sitz 6 angeordnet, der von einer Ausgangsstellung in eine Sitzstellung und umgekehrt um diese horizontale Achse 17 verschwenkbar ist. Die horizontale Achse 17 kann sich sowohl am Korb 4, als auch am Fahrgestell 2 befinden. Die beiden Schiebegriffe 5 weisen genügend Abstand derart auf, daß eine Person dazwischen genügend Platz hat, sich auf dem Sitz 6 niederzulassen, ohne hierbei störende Teile im Rücken oder am Hinterkopf zu haben. Zusätzlich ist am Einkaufswagen 1 ein Auflageteil 15 für den Sitz 6 angeordnet, das als Anschlag für den Sitz 6 dient. Der Sitz 6 kann nur soweit heruntergedrückt werden, bis er auf dem Auflageteil 15 aufliegt. Diese Lageveränderung wird über die Bremsübertragungseinrichtung 16 auf die Bremsrollen 10 übertragen, die dadurch gebremst werden. Die Feder 8 ist dann gespannt. Wird nun der Sitz 6 entlastet, wenn sich beispielsweise eine auf dem Sitz sitzende Person erhebt, entspannt sich die Feder 8 und drückt den Sitz 6 mit Hilfe der Bremsübertragungseinrichtung 16 in seine Ausgangslage zurück. Die Bremsrolle 10 ist dann wieder ungebremst.
Damit eine ausreichende Bremskraft erreicht wird, sind gewöhnlich die beiden hinteren Rollen 3 des Einkaufswagens 1 als Bremsrollen 10 gestaltet.16 is conceivable.
