Folding rule stop technical description

The folding rule stop is attached to an existing, standard folding rule (folding rule) at any point and then provides a solid support and stop surface for the folding rule. The folding rule stop can be moved along the entire length of the folding rule and is locked in place by the folding rule being pressed against a rubber wall by a leaf spring.

Φ Measurement of the distance between two points

* Without ruler stop:

If the distance between two points is to be measured, where there is no support surface between the points, the folding rule can be held at one measuring point using the current method, but at the other point it slides back and forth or even off. The measurement is therefore significantly inaccurate or even impossible, or an assistant is required.

* With folding rule stop:

While the ruler is held at one end, the other end, equipped with the measuring stop, can be placed on or against the measuring point. This prevents it from slipping back and forth. The measurement is accurate and can be carried out by one person alone, even under such circumstances.

Length measurements on objects

* Without ruler stop:

Lengths of more than 1.40 m cannot be measured precisely in one operation without moving the ruler in between, as the distance between the craftsman's hands cannot be large enough.

* With folding rule stop:

Since the ruler can be fixed on one side (positioned on edges), the entire measuring range of the ruler of 2 meters can be used for one work step.

Sharp-edged objects

* Without folding rule stop

... the risk of injury is high if an impact is simulated by the craftsman's fingers, as is unfortunately still common practice in practice (e.g. when measuring ventilation ducts).

* With folding rule stop

... a suitable device is available as a stop even for sharp-edged objects.
