Zellhornknopfe mit durchsichtigem oder
durchscheinendem Oberteil, welcher durch seine eigene Färbung oder Musterung oder im Zusammenwirken
mit einer das Licht zurückwerfenden blanken, gefärbten oder gemusterten (z. B. perlmutterartig schillernden) Bodeneinlage
(Spiegel) allerhand hübsche Licht- und Farbenwirkungen ergibt, um teils Naturstoffe
(wie Perlmutter, Katzenaugen, durchscheinende Hornarten) nachzuahmen, teils auch eigene
(nicht auf Naturvorbilder zurückzuführende) Wirkungen hervorzubringen, sind für Damenbekleidung
beliebt und im Handel begehrt. Derartige Knöpfe sind aber verhältnismäßig teuer, weil der Oberteil zur Verhütung des
Eindrückens aus starkem Zellhorn gemacht werden muß — im Gegensatz zu Knöpfen,
bei denen auf die Lichtdurchlässigkeit der Zellhornhaut verzichtet wird. Hier kann man
ein wesentlich dünneres Zellhorn nehmen und dieses mit irgendwelchem undurchsichtigen Material
— gewöhnlich Pappe in einer der Wölbung des Knopfobertetles angepaßten Prägung
— hinterlegen. Man hat auch geglaubt, eine solche Hinterlegung ohne Preisgabe der Lichtwirkung
bei durchsichtigem oder durchscheinendem Zellhorn anwenden und die entsprechend gefärbte oder gemusterte Oberfläche
der Papphinterlage an die Stelle des obenerwähnten Spiegels treten lassen zu können.
Derartige Knöpfe erreichen aber nicht die Wirkung derjenigen, die sie ersetzen sollen; es
fehlt ihnen die Lebendigkeit und die Tiefe des Lichtspieles.
Gemäß der Erfindung wird zum Zweck der Verbilligung bei voller Wahrung der eigenartigen
Wirkung der durchsichtigen Knöpfe eine durchsichtige Hinterlage für den Zellhornoberteil
vorgeschlagen. Ein geeigneter Werkstoff hierfür wurde in gehärteter Gelatine gefunden,
die zu Kuppeln mit der Zellhornhaut angepaßter Wölbung geformt wird.
Ein solcher Knopf ist auf der Zeichnung im Längsschnitt dargestellt. Es bezeichnet
α den Oberteil, gebildet von einer dünnen Zellhornhaut, deren Rand bei b um den Rand
des metallenen Ueterteiles c herumgefalzt ist. Im Unterteil liegt die Bodeneinlage oder der
Spiegel d. Der Wölbung der Zellhornhaut schmiegt sich die Kuppel e aus gehärteter
Gelatine an. Sie stützt sich mit ihrem Rand auf den Unterteil und ist so bemessen bzw.
gestaltet, daß sie beim Zusammenfalzen von Oberteil und Unterteil eine gewisse Spannung
erhält, durch welche ihre vollkommene Berührung mit der Zellhornhaut und deren sichere
Unterstützung und Straffhaltung gesichert wird.
Wenn von einer Wölbung und einer Kuppel gesprochen wird, so ist dies nicht im
Sinne einer Beschränkung auf die damit unmittelbar bezeichnete Form zu verstehen. Der
Knopfoberteil kann auch in der Form einer drei- oder vierseitigen Pyramide', auch in Dachform,
in Form einer quer- oder rundlaufend gewellten flachen Schale und in vielen anderen
Formen erscheinen, denen sich die Hinterlage anzupassen hat. Bei Knöpfen mit Zellhornunterteil oder zellhornbekleidetem Unterteil
ist die Neuerung natürlich auch anwendbar.
Die Härtung oder Gerbung der Gelatine erfolgt in der an sich bekannten Weise durch
Verrühren der Gelatinelösung mit einem Chromsalz,
Alaun, Formalin ο. dgl.
Claims (1)
- Patent-Anspruch:Zellhornknopf mit der Form des Knopfoberteiles angepaßter versteifender Hinterlegung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die versteifende Hinterlegung für den in bekannter Weise aus durchsichtigem oder durchscheinendem Zellhorn gefertigten Oberteil von einer durchsichtigen oder durchscheinenden Kuppel aus gehärteter Gelatine gebildet wird, welche mit dem den Oberteil nur am Rande berührenden, gegebenenfalls mit gemusterter oder spiegelnder Einlage versehenen Knopf boden einen Luftraum einschließt.Hierzu ι Blatt Zeichnungen.
