In the horse's hoof, a movement takes place in the hoof, which is called the hoof mechanism. With normal hoof inserts, this movement is slowed down. Without hoof inserts, it takes place directly between the hoof and the horseshoe. This results in the hoof being worn down in the heel area, which leads to a misalignment. To prevent this, a sliding piece is built into the hoof insert in the heel area, which is directed towards the horseshoe and whose sliding properties are better than those of the hoof insert. This promotes the hoof mechanism and greatly reduces the abrasion of horn. The bulge on the inside fixes the hoof insert and it is not necessary to fix it with rivets as is conventional. In order to prevent dirt and stable dirt from compacting in the hoof and to better protect the hoof from rotting between the sole of the hoof and the horseshoe, the hoof insert can be provided with a bulge. This bead is attached to the inside of the insert, covering the entire circumference and standing high up towards the hoof (5 and 10). When pressure is applied, it presses against the hoof and thus protects the hoof from deposits between the hoof and the horseshoe. It also reduces the compaction of dirt in the hoof.

The advantage of the variable running surfaces is that different profiles can be used to achieve different levels of grip sharpness. It is also possible to use the variable running surfaces to adjust the "track" of the horse's legs, as is necessary for western riding, for example. With the closed running surface (24), which is screwed onto the horseshoe, it is possible to make the track irons on the running surface run more inwards or outwards by turning the horseshoe horizontally. This gives you the option of adjusting the track of the horse's legs to the prevailing ground conditions as often as necessary and without the need for a farrier. The track can be changed by turning the entire running plate or by changing the track irons (movable).

Base supports or horseshoes (21) made of light metal or PVC have the advantage that they are lighter. However, the abrasion is too great and for this reason, in order to withstand a period of shoeing, the horseshoes would have to be made much thicker. To avoid this, our horseshoes made of light metal or PVC are provided with abrasion-resistant material (V2a, ceramic, tool steel, hard metal). The abrasion-resistant parts are cast in (23), as in the base support (21, 22). These can protrude to strengthen the grip or be cast in flat just to prevent severe abrasion.

The abrasion parts such as V2a, hardened tool steel or ceramic can be made of one piece covering the entire hoof (e.g. 6mm V2a round steel in the shape of the horseshoe) or of several short parts (e.g. Vidia pins d=5mm at a distance of 2cm around the entire circumference of the horseshoe). In order to improve the statics of the horseshoe and to prevent the heel part from sinking too deep into the ground on soft ground, which poses a risk to the flexor tendon apparatus, the base supports in the area of the heel become wider from the 3rd or 4th nail hole towards the end of the leg (page 1, base supports). The widening is at least 5 mm. This also ensures that the heels always move along the horseshoe when the heel mechanism moves and do not slip beyond it.
