Folding folding box with integrated swivel handle:

The invention relates to a folding or collapsible box as is generally available with or without a lid, with closed or grid-like side parts. {Fig. 1)

The object of the invention is to further develop the folding box so that it can be carried comfortably with one hand, with or without a load, without endangering the contents.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in accordance with the characterizing part of claim 1; the inventive idea is essentially based on creating a central carrying option directly above the center of gravity of the unloaded or loaded folding (Fait) box by attaching a U-shaped pivoting handle {1) to the upper frame part of the folding box.

This carrying option can be done with one hand, which results in significantly improved handling.

The design example of the folding box with bow handle shown in Figures 2 and 3 is constructed as follows:

The upper frame part of the folding box part 2 is provided with a hole in the middle on two opposite sides (see subclaims for exact details).

Pins attached to the open end of the U-shaped handle ( 1 ) engage in these holes. The centers of the two holes thus form the pivot axis for the handle. The handle can thus be swiveled from its center position (vertical) by 90° to either side. The handle can also have the holes and the upper frame of the FaIt folding box can have the pins.

The folding process of the box is not hindered in any way by the swivel handle.

The opening process of the FaIt folding box is made even easier by swinging up and lifting the handle, as it can be done with one hand.

When folded down, the U-shaped handle part 1 fits snugly to the inside or outside of the frame of the folding box part 2 The design of the handle is such that when the handle is folded down, the stackability of the folding box is not impaired in any way

In the middle position of the bow handle part 1, the axial connection (3) between the bow handle and the upper folding box frame can be designed in such a way that a locking mechanism occurs, so that the bow handle cannot pivot when being carried. (Fig. 4)

Protection claims: 1. Folding box with swivel handle (1) which allows one-handed carrying of the folding box over its center of gravity or centre point. (Fig.3) 2. Folding box with pivoting handle according to claim 1, characterized in that the pivot axis (5) of the handle runs through the upper frame of the folding box {2). 3. Folding box with pivoting handle (1) according to claim 2, wherein the handle is designed so that it closely fits the outer or inner contour of the upper folding box frame (2) and thus does not exceed the base area of the folding box at all or only minimally. 4. Folding box with pivoting handle according to claim 1 - 3, characterized in that the folded-down, i.e. horizontally positioned, handle (1) does not exceed the height of the folding box and thus does not impair its stackability. 5. Folding box with pivoting handle according to claim 1 - 4, characterized in that the folded-down horizontal handle does not cover or obstruct the front carrying openings (4). 6. Folding box with pivoting handle according to claims 1-5, characterized in that the axial connection (3) Fig. 4 can be designed in such a way that when the handle is in a vertical position, the handle locks into place when it is lifted, so that pivoting of the handle is no longer possible when it is being carried. The handle can be made of plastic, metal or another material.
