Abstract

The arrangement is for the lower part (1) of a display and transport container and comprises a mid section (2) symmetrical about a centre line (55), and at least one side part (3,4) enclosed laterally onto the mid section. The centre line is formed as a flexible line or a dividing line. The line may also be formed as a fold line or perforation line. The fold line has a double channel.

The present invention relates to a blank for the lower part of a display and transport container according to the preamble of claim 1, a blank for the lid of a display and transport container according to the preamble of claim 9, a lower part for a display and transport container according to the preamble of claim 16, a lid for a display and transport container according to the preamble of claim 17 and a display and transport container according to the preamble of claim 18 or 19,

With previously known dispensing and transport containers of this type, there is a loss of space during transport, especially with packaged goods with a conical shape or packages that can be deformed into a conical shape, such as stand-up pouches, because the packages are not wedged into one another, i.e. packed lying down, because otherwise they do not assume the correct upright position after the transport container is opened and it is therefore necessary to remove them from the transport container for display.

It is an object of the present invention to create blanks for a display and transport container which can be used in a space-saving manner both for the transport and for dispensing packaged goods, in particular but not exclusively, from conical or conically deformable packages, whereby the packages should assume the correct position after the transport container has been converted into a display container.

This is achieved according to the invention by the features of the characterizing parts of the independent claims 1 and 9; preferred further developments of the blanks are defined by claims 2 - 8 and 10-14 dependent on claims 1 and 9.

With the mentioned blanks according to claim 1, a lower part for the display and transport container can be produced, which can optionally also have an integrated lid, and with the blanks according to claim 9, a lid for a display and transport container can be produced, which can be used as a separate lid together with a lower part without an integrated lid according to claim 1.

A further object of the invention is to propose an improved device for dispensing and transporting packaged goods; this involves a lower part, possibly with an integrated lid for a dispensing and transport container, a separate lid, generally usable with a lower part without an integrated lid, for a display and transport container, and a display and transport container itself.

This is achieved according to the invention for the lower part by the features of the characterizing part of claim 16, for the separate lid by the features of the characterizing part of claim 17, for the container with separate lid by the features of the characterizing part of claim 18 and for the container with integrated lid by the features of the characterizing part of claim 19.

The transport container is converted into a display container by at least partially removing the integrated or separate lid of the transport container attached to the base, whereupon the base is folded over around a central fold line. Two compartments are formed in which the contents can be displayed in the shop. If a perforation line is made instead of the fold lines, the transport container can be divided into two separate

Fig. 1 shows the unfolded blank 1 for the lower part of the first embodiment of the display and transport container, which is always referred to as the container below. The blank 1 has a six-part middle part 2 and two four-part side parts 3 and 4 arranged symmetrically to the middle part 2. The middle part 2 has two central parts 5 and 6, which are connected by a fold line 55 so that the lower part can be folded over. The central parts 5 and 6 are followed by outer parts 7 and 8, and these are followed by edge parts 9 and 10. The side parts 3 and 4 have central parts 11, 12, 13 and 14 and edge parts 15, 16, 17 and 18. The central parts 5 and 6 of the middle part 2 are connected with fold lines 19 and 20 to the outer parts 7 and 8 of the middle part 2 and with fold lines 21, 22, 23 and 24 to the central parts 11, 12, 13 and 14 of the side parts 3 and 4. The outer parts 7 and 8 are connected with fold lines 25 and 26 to the edge parts 9 and 10. The central parts 11, 12, 13 and 14 of the side parts are connected with fold lines 27, 28, 29 and 30 to the edge parts 15, 16, 17 and 18 of the side parts 3 and 4. The central parts 11 and 12 or 13 and 14 of the side parts 3 and 4 are separated by a cutting line 31 or 32. The edge parts 15, 16, 17 and 18 of the side parts 3 and are not connected to the outer parts 7 and 8 of the middle part.

Fig. 2 shows the unfolded blank 33 for the lid of the container according to the first embodiment. The lid middle part 34 comprises a central part 35 and two outer parts 36 and 37, which are connected to the central part 35 by fold lines 38 and 39. The side parts 40 and 41 have central parts 43 and 44, which are connected to the central part 35 of the middle part 34 by perforation lines 44 and 45. The outer parts 46, 47, 48 and 49 of the side parts 40 and 41 are connected to the outer parts 36 and 37 of the middle part 34 by perforation lines 50, 51, 52 and 53. The blank is provided with a semicircular cutout 135 in the middle of the narrow side edges, which facilitates the tearing off of the middle part of the lid.

Fig. 3 shows the lower part 1 of the container in the filling position as well as the folded blank for the lid. In this position, the two outer parts 7 and 8 of the middle part 2 are raised by 90 ° relative to the central parts 5 and 6. The side parts 3 and 4 are also bent by 90 ° relative to the central parts 5 and 6 of the middle part 2. The edge parts 15, 16, 17 and 18 of the side parts 3 and 4 are bent by 90 ° relative to the side parts 3 and 4 and glued to the lower areas of the outer parts 7 and 8 of the middle part 2. Fig. 5 shows the container according to Fig. 4, with the cover parts 35 and 36 torn off. The cover part 37 is also torn off so that the lower part can be folded into the display position according to Fig. 6. The fold line 55 can be designed as a groove or preferably as a double groove.

Fig. 6 shows the lower part 1 in the folded state. The central parts 5 and 6 of the lower part are folded around the fold line 55. The central parts 42, 43 and the outer parts 46, 47, 48 and 49 of the lid 33 are glued to the lower part according to Fig. 3. The lower part is in the open position. The contents rest against parts 5 and 7 or 6 and 8.

For the container 56 of the second embodiment according to Fig. 7, the same blank 57 is used for the lower part as for the container of the first embodiment according to Fig. 1. The lid 58 also corresponds to the lid 33 according to the first embodiment, apart from the tear-open part 59. The outer parts 60, 61, 62 and 63 are glued to the lower part in their lower area. The tear-open part 59 of the lid 58 is torn off from the rest of the lid part along the perforation lines 64, 65, 66 and 67 in order to be able to fold the lower part 57 over. The outer parts 62 and 63 of the lid are separated from one another by a cutting line 68.

In Fig. 8, the container according to Fig. 7 is shown without the tear-off part 59 in the folded-over state. The outer parts 62 and 63 of the lid form a rear wall and the parts 69 and 70 form the side walls of the container in the open position. In this case, too, the lower part is folded over around the middle fold line 71. The middle fold line 71 can be designed as a groove or double groove, like the middle fold line 55 in the first embodiment.

In Fig. 9, a container 72 of a third embodiment is shown. A tear-off lid part 73 is removed. An outer part 74 and the middle part 75 of the lid are separated along two perforation lines 76 and 77 from the

remaining cover parts 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 glued to the lower part 78 are torn off. The cut for the lower part 78 is the same as in the first and second embodiments. A central fold line 79 is also provided.

According to Fig. 10, the lower part 78 is folded over with the remaining parts of the cover around the fold line 79. The outer cover parts 80, 81, 82 and 83 form the horizontal frame of the folded lower part in the open position. The outer cover parts 84 and 85, which are separated by a cutting line 86, form the rear wall of the lower part in the open position.

In Fig. 11, the cut for the lid 58 of the second embodiment according to Figs. 7 and 8 is shown. The folding lines 87 and 88 are also shown.

In Fig. 12 the blank 89 for the cover of the third

Embodiment according to Fig. 9 and 10. The fold lines 90 and 91 as well as the perforation line 92 are still visible.

Fig. 13 shows the closed container 93 of the fourth embodiment. The parts 94, 95 and 96 provided with perforation lines on three sides of the container are torn off to open the container.

In Fig. 14, the container 93 is shown with the lid part 94, 95, 96 torn off. The lower part of this container is constructed according to the same principles as in the embodiments 1 to 3.

Fig. 15 shows the lower part of the container 93 with the remaining lid parts in the folded-over state. The folding is also carried out as in the previous embodiments around a central fold line 97. The lower part has the central parts 98 and 99, the outer parts 100 and 101 and the edge parts 102 and 103. The container in the open position according to Fig. 15 also includes the middle parts 104 and 105 and the outer parts 106, 107, 108, 109 of the lid 110 according to Fig. 14. If a perforation line is provided instead of the fold line 97, the container can be divided into two container parts not shown in the drawing.

Fig. 16 shows the container bottom part 111 and the container lid 112 of a fifth embodiment according to the invention. The bottom part 111 is basically constructed in the same way as in the embodiments 1 to 4. It also comprises a

six-part middle part 113, with folding lines provided between the individual parts. The middle folding line 114 with grooves or double grooves is used to fold the lower part from the transport position into the display position. The side parts 115 and 116 are connected to the middle part 113. In this embodiment, the lid 112 is made up of four parts, with an upper part 117, a lower part 118 and two side parts 119 and 120, and is not glued to the lower part but simply pushed over it. The side part 119 of the lid 112 has a bent extension 121 which is glued to the lower part 118.

Fig. 17 shows a sixth embodiment of the container with the lower part 122 and the partially shown lid 123. The lid 123 is made of three parts and is pushed into the inner area of the side parts 124 and 125 of the lower part. For this purpose, the lid is provided with incisions 126 in the end areas on the outer edge. The middle part of the lower part has two central parts 127 and 128, between which a fold line 133 runs. Outer parts 129 and 130 are connected to these and edge parts 131 and 132. As in the previous embodiments, the central parts 127 and 128 are folded over the fold line 133, whereby the lower part 122 of the container is brought from the transport position according to Fig. 17 into the display position according to Fig. 18.

What differs in the embodiments 1 to 6 are the parts of the lid that remain on the lower part and the shape of the lid.

Fig. 19 shows a top view of the container bottom part according to the first embodiment with filled conical bags 134, for example stand-up pouches. From this figure it can be seen that space can be saved by this packaging. The bottom part 1 according to Fig. 19 is in the transport position.

Fig. 20 shows the folded-down lower part 1 in the display position. The containers according to all embodiments 1 to 6 are suitable for the transport and display of any filling material.

The base is basically the same in all versions, whereas the perforation lines in the lid are arranged differently. This different arrangement of the perforation lines results in different opening options and therefore different presentation options. The

In Fig. 21, the lower part 136 of the container is shown in the filling position. This figure also shows the folded blank 137 for the lid. The outer parts 138 and 139 of the middle part 140 of the lower part are raised by 90° relative to the central parts 141 and 142 of the middle part. The central parts 143, 144, 145 and 146 of the side parts 147 and 148 are also bent by 90° relative to the central parts 141 and 142 of the middle part 140. The side parts 147 and 148 are wider than in the first embodiment. The width of the side parts 147, 148 corresponds to the length of the outer parts 138, 139 of the middle part. The edge parts 149, 150, 151 and 152 of the side parts 147 and 148 are bent by 90 ° relative to the side parts 147 and 148 and glued to the outer parts 138 and 139 of the middle part 140.

The unfolded blank 137 for the lid has a central part 155 and two outer parts 156 and 157 adjoining it. Perforation lines 137 and 161 run in the outer areas of the lid perpendicular to the fold lines 158 and 159, which divide the central part and the outer parts 156 and 157.

To produce the container ready for shipping as shown in Fig. 22, the two edge parts 153 and 154 of the middle part 140 are folded over by 90°, the lid 137 is put over the container base 136 and the outer areas 162, 163, 164 and are glued to the central parts 143, 144, 145 and 146 of the side parts of the base 136. To open the container, it is torn open along the perforation lines 160 and 161. To fold it into the display position, the container base is folded over around the middle fold line 166. The cutting lines 167 and 168 enable the side parts 147 and 148 to be unfolded.

The main difference from the first embodiment is that the side parts 147 and 148 of the lower part 136 are wider and the outer parts 156 and 157 of the cover 137 are narrower.

Fig. 23 shows the folded cover 169 and the lower part 170 of an eighth embodiment of the invention. A detailed description of the individual parts is not required, since reference can be made to the seventh embodiment according to Figs. 21 and 22. The difference to the seventh embodiment is

in that the cover 169 has a wide outer part 171 and a narrow outer part 172. The lower part 170 correspondingly has a narrow side part 173 and a wide side part 174.

The assembly of the ready-to-ship container 175 according to Fig. 24 takes place on the side of the wide outer part 171 of the lid as in the first embodiment and on the side of the narrow outer part of the lid as in the seventh embodiment.

Fig. 25 shows a ninth embodiment according to the invention. The blank 176 according to this embodiment represents a combination of the blank 177 for the lower part and the blank 178 for the lid. The blank 177 for the lower part also has, as in the other embodiments, a middle part 179 with the central parts 180 and 181, the adjoining outer parts 182 and 183 and the adjoining edge parts 184 and 185. In contrast to the other embodiments, the blank 177 for the lower part has only one side part 186. This is provided with two central parts 188 and 189 separated by a cutting line 187. Edge parts 190 and 191 adjoin the central parts. The central parts 180 and 181 of the middle part 179 of the blank 177 for the base are connected by a central fold or perforation line 192. Instead of a second side part, the blank 178 for the cover is connected to the central parts 180 and 181 of the middle part 179 of the blank 177 for the base. The blank for the cover has three parts 195, 196 and 197 connected by two fold lines 193 and 194. Two perforation lines 198 and 199 run perpendicular to the fold lines in the outer areas of the blank 178. The edge parts 200 and 201 adjoining part 197 are glued to the outer parts 182 and 183 of the blank 177 when the blank is unfolded to produce the container, as are the edge parts 190 and 191 of the side part 186. The outer lower areas of part 195 of the blank 178 are glued to the side part 186 when the container is formed. To open the transport container, the middle area of parts 195, 196 and 197 of the blank 178 is torn off along the perforation lines 198 and 199. The container can then be brought into the display position by folding it around the center line 192 of the blank 177.

The tenth embodiment is shown in Fig. 26. In the cut according to this embodiment, the cut 203 for the lower part is also combined with cuts 204 and 205, which are used instead of the side parts according to the first

Embodiment are connected to the blank 203 for the lower part. The blank 203 for the lower part has two central parts 207 and 208 separated by a fold or perforation line 206. This is provided with perforation lines 214 and 215 in its outer area. Edge parts 216 and 217 are connected to the edge of the cover part 213. On the other side, two lid parts 218 and 219 are connected to the central parts 207 and 208 of the blank for the lower part. An adhesive flap 220 is connected to the outer lid part 219. The lid parts 218, 219 and the adhesive flap 220 are provided with perforation lines 221 and 222 in their outer area. The inner lid part 218 is provided with two edge parts 223 and 224 in its edge area adjacent to the blank 203. To form the transport container, the edge parts 216, 217, 223 and 224 are glued to the folded-over outer parts 209 and 210 of the blank 203. The cover parts 213 and 218 are also folded over by ° and the outer cover part 219 is folded over by 90° relative to the inner cover part 218. The adhesive flap 220 is glued in its outer areas to the outer areas of the cover 213.

The blank shown in Fig. 27 is very similar to the blank shown in Fig. 26; identical parts are therefore provided with the same reference numerals. Instead of the very small edge parts 216, 217 and 223, 224 according to Fig. 26, the blank according to Fig. 27 has larger edge parts 216a, 217a, 223a, 224a. The central parts 207 and 208 are adjoined beyond the fold lines by extending tabs 207a and 208a. The cover part 219 is also adjoined on both sides by extending tabs 219a beyond the fold lines.

The display and transport container 300 shown in Fig. 28 is formed by a lower part 301 and a separate lid 302. It differs from the previously described containers in particular in that the tear-off part 303 of the lid 302 is pulled forwards and downwards in the direction of arrow 304. Then the lower part 301 - as already described several times with reference to other embodiments of the container - is folded over in half to the left and right in the direction of arrows 305 and 306.

In Fig. 29, the blank for the lower part 301 of the container 300 is shown according to Fig. 29. This is a conventional container divided into six parts by fold lines.

Middle part 310, whereby to convert the container from the illustrated transport position into the display position, the two container halves are folded around a fold line 311 forming the axis of symmetry, furthermore the blank has two side parts 312, 313. The side part 113 is not perforated in continuation of the fold line 311 but divided, while the side part 312 does not contain any perforation or division in continuation of the fold line 311 but rather a somewhat 'roof-shaped' perforation 314, which enables the removal of a central area of the side part 312 and an adjoining central area of the middle part 310.

Fig. 30 shows a blank for the lid 302 of the container according to Fig. 28, which, with the exception of the arrangement of the perforation for the removable part of the lid, does not differ from the lids described with reference to other embodiments.

It should also be noted that the cut pieces do not have to be glued or folded for delivery but can be delivered flat.

If the transport and display container is filled with conical stand-up pouches, for example, these can be arranged in a nested manner or loosely "wedged" into one another in the transport container, which results in significant space savings. In the folded-over display container, the pouches then protrude beyond the side edges, so that they are clearly visible.

If the container according to the invention is used for flat bags with welds on four edges in the manner of dry soup packages or pudding powder packages, a separating cardboard box should be placed in the container above the central fold line in the transport position of the container so that the packages on both sides of the container do not shift in the closed container during transport.

The display and transport container according to the invention can be made of cardboard of various qualities. A container with a separate lid has proven to be particularly advantageous, in which the lower part is made of inexpensive, for example recycled, generally brown, cardboard, possibly corrugated cardboard, while white or colored or appropriately laminated cardboard is used for the lid. If the container is in the transport configuration, its front surfaces can be used to attach information that is not intended for the

end user, can be labelled and/or stuck on as desired - this also applies to a version with an integrated lid; when the container is then in the display configuration, these labelled or stuck on front surfaces are no longer visible as they lie against one another; the visible or outward-facing surfaces of the container are all made of the lid material, which can be provided with any advertising or information for the end user. Depending on the requirements, it is also possible to choose just a film material made of paper or plastic as the lid material for a separate lid!

In general, the bottom part is folded with the part of the lid attached to it, so that a display container with two compartments is created. For this purpose, a folding lens is provided in the middle part. However, if you want to get two half display containers from a transport container, a perforation line should be provided instead of this folding line.
