Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren, um Leuchtmasse auf feste Gegenstände jeder Art, wie z. B. Zifferblätter für Uhren, Schilde usw., aufzutragen. Bei dem bis jetzt bekannten Verfahren wurde die mit einer Flüssigkeit vermengte Leuchtmasse mit Pinsel, Stift usw. aufgetragen, oder die Leuchtmasse wurde in Vertiefungen gebracht und in diesen festgelegt. Diese Verfahren haben den Nachteil, daß feine Linien, z. B. die Minuten- und Sekundenteilstriche, nicht gezogen werden konnten, insbesondere nicht bei kleinen Zifferblättern; außerdem wurde bei den bekannten Verfahren mehr der teuren Leuchtmasse verbraucht, als zur Erzielung der Leuchtwirkung nötig gewesen wäre. Die bekannten Verfahren konnten außerdem nur von Hand, und zwar durch besonders geübte Personen in praktisch genügender Weise durchgeführt werden. Zweck der Erfindung ist, diese Nachteile zu beheben. Dieser Zweck wird dadurch erreicht, daß die Leuchtmasse mit einer Druckform auf eine geeignete Unterlage, z. B. Gelatine, aufgetragen wird, von welcher sie dann auf den mit Leuchtmasse zu versehenden Gegenstand übertragen wird. Ein ähnliches Verfahren ist bereits zur Übertragung von Drucken bekannt. Die Erfindung beruht darauf, daß dieses Verfahren zum Auftragen von Leuchtmasse in feinen Linien unter sparsamster Verwendung der Leuchtmasse verwendbar gemacht wurde. Das neue Verfahren besteht darin, daß die Leuchtmasse mit Dammarlack und Lavendelöl gemischt und die damit eingefärbte Druckform auf mit Glyzerin gewaschene Gelatine abgedruckt wird, worauf der Abdruck mit Weinsteinpulver eingestäubt und gegen das mit Zaponlack bestrichene Zifferblatt gepreßt wird.The invention relates to a method of applying luminous material to solid objects each Kind such as B. dials for clocks, shields, etc. to apply.
