Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Entwöhnen von Personen von einer Nikotinabhängigkeit unter Anwendung der Lehren der Akupunktur.The invention relates to a device for weaning people from nicotine addiction using the teachings of acupuncture.
In den letzten etwa zehn Jahren und in zunehmendem Maße sind die Menschen zu der Erkenntnis gelangt, daß das Rauchen nicht als eine positive Eigenschaft, sondern als ein Laster anzusehen ist. In unzähligen und auch von der Zigarettenindustrie und den Rauchern nicht bestrittenen Untersuchungen haben Ärzte aus aller Welt festgestellt, daß Rauchen der Gesundheit schadet. Eine sehr große Zahl von Todesfällen ist unmittelbar auf das Rauchen zurückzuführen. Rauchen erzeugt unter anderem Kehlkopf- und Lungenkrebs. Rauchen senkt auch die Leistungsfähigkeit der Lungen. Zusammen mit Medikamenten wirkt sich Rauchen besonders ungünstig auf den menschlichen Organismus aus. Diese Erkenntnisse, die inzwischen zu Tatsachen geworden sind, haben zu vielen Mitteln geführt, mit denen die Raucher sich das Rauchen abgewöhnen sollen. Zu diesen Mitteln gehören Bonbons, mit bestimmten Zusatzstoffen versehene Kaugummis und andere oral einzunehmende Präparate. Beim Inhalieren von Zigarettenrauch und Nikotin führen sie zu Übelkeit. Zur elektrischen Einwirkung wird ein Strom mit einer Stärke im Bereich von etwa 100 mA an einer ersten Stelle in den Körper eingeleitet und an einer zweiten, von der ersten Stelle abgelegenen Stelle aus dem Körper abgeleitet. Zur erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung gehören das Etui 12 und das Modem 14 mit den Steckdosen 16 und 18 und dem Drehknopf 20. Zur erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung gehören weiter der Kopfbügel 22 mit den beiden längsverschiebbaren Schienen 24, den beiden Ohrsonden 26, den in diese einsteckbaren Steckern 28, den beiden zu den Ohrsonden 26 führenden Zuleitungen 30 mit dem Kabel 32 und dem Stecker 34. Zur erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung gehört weiter noch die Handsonde 36 mit dem in diese einsteckbaren Stecker 38, mit dem Kabel 40 und mit dem Stecker 42. Da es sich um Wechselstrom handelt, ist die Polarität gleichgültig, und die Stecker 34 und 42 können beliebig in die Steckdosen 16 und 18 eingesteckt werden. Trotzdem können die beiden Steckdosen 16 und 18 und die beiden Stecker 34 und 42 paarweise farbig markiert werden. Dies bedeutet dann zum Beispiel, daß der schwarz markierte Stecker 34 in die schwarz markierte Steckdose 16 und der rot markierte Stecker 42 in die rot markierte Steckdose 18 eingesteckt wird.
