The invention relates to a game set consisting of a playing field and playing figures.

Entertainment games, such as board games, are known in a wide variety of forms. These entertainment games include a playing field, e.g. in the form of a square board, with round stones or figures as playing pieces. In addition to games of reason, chance or patience, e.g. checkers, go, halma, mill, backgammon, salta and chess, other games are known.

A mouse in the shape of a small box is used as a cursor control device on personal computers. By moving the mouse on a sub-

surface, a table or mouse pad, the mouse pointer is moved synchronously across the screen content. A mechanical process is known for converting the movements of the mouse into the necessary impulses for the display device, in which a ball located under the mouse drives a pulse generator for the Y axis and one for the X axis depending on the direction of travel. This system can be used on any flat surface, in particular on so-called mouse pads. The surfaces used as mouse pads consist of a square or rectangular, plate-shaped cut with a smooth guide surface for the mouse and with a lower coating made of a friction-increasing, non-slip material to prevent the mouse pad from moving on a surface when the mouse is in use.

The invention is based on the object of developing such a known mouse pad for further possible uses and of designing it in such a way that the mouse pad can be used as an entertainment game, in particular as a board game, with the associated game figures.

This object is achieved by the features characterized in claim 1.

According to the invention, the game set consists of a mouse pad, one surface of which is designed as a playing field and in which the game figures can be held in the mouse pad, for example by means of a clamp fit, and can be exposed by pushing them out or through the surface of the mouse pad.

These playing pieces are designed as geometric, disc- or plate-shaped shaped bodies; these playing pieces can also have the shape of animal figures. Other design options for the playing pieces are certainly possible. The game pieces can be single-colored, multi-colored or differently colored depending on the use for the game field printed on the mouse pad.

The game set shown in Fig. 1 and 2 and designated 100 consists of a mouse pad 10 designed in a manner known per se as a playing field plate, the upper plate surface of which is designated 10a and the lower plate surface of which is designated 10b.

The playing field 11 of a game of reason, chance or patience is applied to the upper plate surface 10a of the mouse pad 10. The playing field 11 corresponds, for example, to that of a board game such as checkers/chess, Nine Men's Morris, Halma, Backgammon, Salta, Go, "Don't Get Angry" and the like. In the game set shown in Fig. 1, the playing field of a chess game is printed on the upper plate surface 10a of the mouse pad 10. The playing fields can be printed on the plate surface of the mouse pad 10 or applied in another way using other technical means. However, it is important that a smooth and even surface is maintained for the mouse. The playing field can also be applied to a plastic film, whereby this prepared plastic film is then glued to the plate surface of the mouse pad 10.

The playing field 11 can be applied to the upper surface 10a of the mouse pad if the playing field is designed on one side. In order to obtain a selection of games, both surfaces of the mouse pad 10 can also be provided with a playing field each, with different playing fields then being applied.

Furthermore, the game set 100 comprises, in addition to the mouse pad 10 provided with a playing field 11, a number of game pieces 20 required for the respective playing field, which are integrated into the mouse pad 10 in the area free of the playing field.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1 and 2 of a chessboard-like playing field 11 applied to a mouse pad 10, a number of game pieces 20 are arranged in the lower edge area 10b free of a playing field. In the embodiment described here, twenty-four game pieces are integrated into the mouse pad 10. These game pieces 20 are designed as geometric, disc- or plate-shaped bodies and are held in the mouse pad 10, for example, by means of punch lines 12, so that the game pieces 20 can be pressed out of the material of the mouse pad for the purpose of playing. In this case, the material thickness of the game pieces 20 corresponds to the material thickness of the mouse pad 10. According to a further embodiment, a number of recesses corresponding to the required number of game pieces are provided in the plate surface 10a of the mouse pad 10, the geometric shapes of which correspond to those of the game pieces 20. In this embodiment, the game pieces 20 are not pushed through the material of the mouse pad to play the game, but are released or pushed out of their recesses by bending the material.

The game pieces 2 0 can also be in the form of animal figures or other figurative designs; it is important that the game pieces 2 0 are embedded in the mouse pad 10 in such a way that a flat upper plate surface 10a is obtained.

The game pieces 20 are preferably made of the material of the mouse pad 10; however, game pieces made of other suitable materials can also be used. The game pieces 20 are preferably secured in their openings or recesses in the mouse pad 10 by means of

Protection claims: 1. Game set consisting of a playing field and game pieces, characterized in that the game set (100) consists of a mouse pad (10) as a playing field plate with a playing field (11) of a game of reason, chance or patience applied to at least one plate surface of the mouse pad (10) and of game pieces (20) provided in the edge area or section of the mouse pad 10 free of a playing field, held by means of punch lines or by a clamp fit and which can be pushed out or through the plate surface. 2. Game set according to claim 1, characterized in that the playing field (11) applied, preferably printed, to the mouse pad (10) corresponds to that of a board game such as checkers/chess, Nine Men's Morris, Halma, Backgammon, Salta, Go, "Ludo" and the like. 3. Game set according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the game pieces (12) arranged in the mouse pad (10) are designed as geometric, disc- or plate-shaped shaped bodies or as shaped bodies in the form of animal figures. 4. Game set according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the playing field (11) is printed on one of the two plate surfaces (10a, 10b) of the mouse pad (10). 5.
