Multifunctional installation switch or button

The innovation concerns a multifunctional installation switch or button according to the generic term of claim 1.

The well-known electrical installation switches/buttons are suitable for a certain number of circuit designs. These include the single-pole switch/button, the two-pole switch/button, the series switch/button, the changeover switch/button and the cross switch, which have two contact paths next to each other. In contrast, the two-pole changeover switch/button and the double changeover switch/button are known to have three contact paths next to each other. These switches/buttons therefore have a corresponding number of fixed contacts depending on the circuit requirements, as well as one or two contact rockers that can be operated using correspondingly assigned switch rockers.

Since experience has shown that the changeover switch/button takes first place in terms of the production share of all installation switches/buttons, the switch base or button was provided with two adjacent contact tracks and a corresponding contact configuration. The other types of switches or buttons make up a much smaller share. The switch or button types mentioned, with the exception of the two-pole changeover switch/button and the double changeover switch/button, can be used for the six

Fixed contacts or connection terminals are required, by equipping the changeover switch/button with two contact tracks and a maximum of four connection terminals or fixed contacts, whereby the cross switch is an exception here, since it can also be implemented with four fixed contacts and thanks to a special contact design in the known changeover switch or button base.

The aim of the innovation is to use the high proportion of the standard switch/button with two adjacent contact paths to modify it using simple means so that a two-pole changeover switch/button or a double changeover switch/button can be realized.

This object is achieved according to the innovation by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. Further advantageous developments of the innovation are specified in the subclaims.

The new multifunctional switch or button, which has now been expanded to include the two-pole changeover switch/button or double changeover switch/button, is explained in more detail using an example. It shows:

Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the switch/button according to the innovation;

Fig. 2 is a plan view of the base base according to the innovation;

Fig. 3 is a plan view of the innovative assembly of the base and base lower part according to Fig. 5, whereby the known base is only shown in the left half and the innovative base lower part is visible from the right half;

The installation switch or button intended for a normal flush-mounted arrangement is provided with a support ring 1 according to Fig. 4. Depending on the type of circuit, it can have one or two rocker switches 3, each of which is provided with a spring plunger 4 and is mounted in the upper part of the base 2. Each spring plunger 4 acts on a contact rocker 8 in the base 9, which can rotate about a bearing point 7' . As can be seen from the top view in Fig. 5 according to Fig. 4, the selected switch or button has two contact tracks, each of which provides two fixed contacts 7 or connection terminals. To implement the circuit, single-pole switch/button, two-pole switch/button, series switch/button, changeover switch/button and cross switch, the base 9 can be equipped with a maximum of four fixed contacts 7 or connection terminals, which can be actuated by a maximum of two rocker switches 3 via assigned contact rockers 8.

The example in Fig. 1 shows the new design of a switch or button in longitudinal section. A base part 6 is then attached under the base 9 of a conventional switch or button. As can be seen from Fig. 2, this has two fixed contacts 5 or connecting terminals, with which the circuits of two-pole changeover switches/buttons or double changeover switches/buttons can be implemented in conjunction with the known switch/button arranged above it with four fixed contacts 7 or connecting terminals. The fixed contacts 5 in the base part 6 are angled upwards towards the base 9, as can be seen from Fig. 1, and dip through a slot 9' in the base 9. Here they serve as a bearing point 5' for the contact rockers 8. The angled area of the fixed contact 5 is marked with 5".

In Fig. 3, two cut halves are shown in plan view. The left plan view in Fig. 3 shows, in addition to the previously mentioned components, one of the mounting holes 9" of the base 9, both of which can be seen in the plan view in Fig. 5. The right plan view in Fig. 3 shows the additional base base part 6 with one of the mounting holes 6', both of which can be seen in Fig. 2. In Fig. 6, the previously mentioned types of circuits and the corresponding circuit diagrams are shown, whereby the circuit diagrams show the number of connection terminals required in each case. Base 9. As already mentioned at the beginning, the base lower part 6 should be able to be attached to the base 9. For this purpose, the fastening holes 9" and 6' are aligned so that they cover one another and then connected to one another using screws, rivets or the like.
