Description
The invention relates to a method for the continuous production of elastomeric air hoses for Bicycles in which an endless tube is cut into tube sections of a predetermined length and the ends of each tube section together to form an annular air chamber are connected, the inside of the air chamber coated with butyl rubber in the course of production and the hose is vulcanized.
In a known method of this type, the coating with butyl rubber takes place immediately after the Production of the hose by coagulation in a continuous extrusion process using an additional Butyl rubber feed. This known technique is complicated and unsatisfactory Results, since the coagulated tube emits an aqueous liquid inside and outside, whereby the Presence of the butyl rubber layer in the hose releases and thus eliminates the liquid difficult. While the liquid on the outside can be washed off and evaporated, it stays in the Trapped inside the tube, forming pockets and bubbles of moisture that can be seen during the subsequent vulcanization inflate and detach the butyl rubber layer from the inside of the hose to lead. In this known method, it is not possible to check the regularity of the Continuous control of the butyl rubber layer as it is located inside the hose.
The object of the invention is therefore to develop a method of the type mentioned at the beginning in such a way that that the coating with butyl rubber is uniform and that the coating is uniform can be controlled continuously.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in a method of the type mentioned at the beginning solved that each hose section after his Cut off at both ends to maintain a slight pressure inside the hose is closed, whereupon it after washing and drying with the exception of a short end section coated on the outside with butyl rubber and turned over after vulcanization.
Weiterbildungen des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ergeben sich aus den Ansprüchen 2 und 3.Further developments of the method according to the invention result from claims 2 and 3.
Die Erfindung wird nachstehend anhand der Zeichnung beispielsweise erläutert; in der einzigen Figur der Zeichnung ist eine Anlage zur Herstellung von Fahrradluftschläuchen schematisch dargestelltThe invention is explained below with reference to the drawing, for example; in the single figure of the Drawing is a system for the production of bicycle air tubes is shown schematically
The tubes are prepared so that a arranged at a certain height containers A between two concentric and vertically arranged glass tubes BX and B 2 is supplied gap formed with a latex mixture of sensitized natural rubber in a known manner by means of hot water at about 6O 0 C is caused to coagulate, which rotates in a chamber C, which surrounds the two glass tubes B 1 and Bl a shut-off valve R regulates the mixing amount that flows in the tubes B 1 and B2. The coagulated hose, which is kept slightly inflated with cold compressed air, which is introduced into the pipe B 1, as the arrow D shows, moves downwards due to the force of gravity and plunges into a first tub £ which holds cold water up to a height contains, are finely immersed in the conveyor rollers that advance the hose formed between nozzles U , which are arranged over the tub over its entire length and spray the hose with cold water to clean it and to cool it at the same time. In the tub, the hose is then cut to form sections of a certain length by means of a device T which also welds the ends so that the hose sections retain the pressure previously formed. By means of a conveyor belt G , the sections are transported into a tunnel H , in which warm air is circulated, which dries the outer surface. At the exit of the tunnel, the section is removed and turned into contact with a latex mixture of butyl rubber contained in a tub L. The section / is then taken out of the mixture and turned further to ensure an even distribution of the mixture taken up over the entire surface reach. The section is then removed and placed on special trolleys on which it is left to dry and then placed in an oven with hot air for vulcanization. Those parts of the system that relate to the turning process, the drying and vulcanization of the hose section are not shown because they are designed in the usual way. The butyl rubber layer is applied completely to one end of the hose, while the other end remains free over a length of 2.5 to 3.0 cm. Then the hose section is reversed. In order to form the air chamber, the end part of the hose, which has been completely provided with butyl rubber, is inserted into the other, uncoated end part and in the connection area the valve is inserted with the lower end into the rubber in a known manner.
Auf diese Weise wird eine innen vollständig mit für Gas und Luftundurchlässigem Butylgummi beschichteteThis way, one inside becomes completely with for Gas and airtight butyl rubber coated
lurch ein einfaches Verfahren erhalten, das indige Beschichtung der inneren Oberfläche mmer ohne die Notwendigkeit der Änderung tellungsanlage des normalen Schlaucheslt obtained through a simple process, the indigenous coating of the inner surface Always without the need to change the position of the normal hose
