Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.

One of the most difficult problems in the construction of electric ovensj which with Alternating current of more than 10,000 amps (e.g. carbide furnaces) consists of: to concentrate the energy in a small space.
Considerations for the inductive voltage drop in the lines force you to go back and forth Return lines or lines of different phases as close to each other as possible (well »twisted») relocate. Nevertheless, in many cases it is not possible to raise the inductive drop to lower an economic level, because the risk of short-circuits reducing the Cable spacing sets a limit because it is impossible to run short with well-twisted cables to get to the furnace and because the furnace structure itself creates large loops makes necessary. This sets a limit to the size of the furnace unit, which far is below the limit of the size necessary for the electrothermal reaction process.
Kabellitzen. Letztere Anordnung ist zwar aus dem britischen Patent 14568/1904 bekannt;
soll.
., Die Leitungsanorclnungen sind in den Fig. 1The present invention relates to line arrangements which make it possible to route outgoing and return lines or lines of different phases separately and independently of one another on any path that appears to be suitable in each case. The occurrence of an unusually large inductive voltage drop is prevented by laying special lines, in the following always called influence lines, next to the consumer power lines, which loop around the vast majority of the lines of force associated with the power lines and carry currents which develop the magnetic field prevent. The influence lines behave towards the consumer power lines, for example, like the secondary winding to the primary winding of a transformer or like the damper winding to the armature winding of a single-phase generator or like the electrically interconnected lead sheaths of a single-conductor cable system, which is used to carry a multi-phase current, to the cable strands. The latter arrangement is known from British patent 14568/1904; However, it only serves the purpose of being able to replace the two-core and multi-core cables, which are difficult to manufacture, difficult to transport and cumbersome to handle, with sufficient insulation for high Amp.) And is intended to serve the purposes described in more detail below.
., The line arrangements are shown in FIG
bis 3 dargestellt, und zwar stellen die Fig. ι a und ib Anordnungen für Einphasenleitungen, die Fig. 2a, 2b und 3 solche für Dreiphasenleitungen dar.to 3, namely represent the Fig. ι a and ib arrangements for single-phase lines, FIGS. 2a, 2b and 3 those for three-phase lines represent.
The strongly drawn out lines symbolize the consumption current conductors. the weakly drawn out the lines of influence. In one ! Influence lines representing a closed circuit, a current must arise whose field significantly weakens the magnetic field developed by the loop of the consumer current line. Two advantages are achieved with these arrangements.
First, the risk of a short circuit between the consumer power lines is avoided. If a conductive connection occurs between the consumption current and influence lines lying just next to one another, there is no disturbance in the consumption current circuit and the fault can easily be found and rectified. Second, the loop gives you the option of accommodating structural parts between the consumer power lines.
The influence lines can also be connected to a separate current source, as indicated in FIGS. 1b and 2b.
3 shows a possible arrangement of the influence lines especially for three-phase current; which consists in the fact that the middle of the three consumption current lines turns into two lines divides, which not only carry consumption electricity, but also to the two external lines act as lines of influence. As can be seen from the drawing, they form one of the closed around the entire space between the two outer lines Loop in which an induction current circulates. This current is stored in the two Branches of the loop flowing A-'consumption currents in such a way that currents arise in the two parts of the loop which are almost equal are large and of opposite phase to the respective currents in the associated outer lines. In other words, the current of the middle line breaks down at the Flow through. the loop into two streams which are about the same size as the currents flowing in the two outer lines, and their phase of opposite ones Direction is opposite to the phases of the external conductor currents. These two. Unite streams when leaving the loop, the size and direction of the original one Middle phase current. Although this arrangement does not offer the same level of protection against short circuits, it only localizes a possibly occurring short circuit on two phases. you The advantage, on the other hand, is the savings in copper compared to the arrangements described earlier and in the extraordinary adaptability to existing rooms all previously known line arrangements.
