There is an entry in the LGPT table for each possible line in the system. Also, the lines are in a given group not concatenated in any order, but in the order in which they are to be occupied by the system. LGIT (k) points to the line of grouping number k to be used first there. Based on the entry in LGPT for this line, the line index described under c) gives the second line for the grouping number k etc.

4) LPLDG: The trunk grouping dial group

LPLDG (k) (from Line Pool Dial Group) contains two pieces of data:

a) the subscriber index of a subscriber station with a grouping access key for the grouping number k;

b) the key number of the subscriber station to which the grouping access occurs.

There is an entry for each grouping number k, if MET devices do not have grouping access keys for them Grouping, the entries are zero.

i) the beginning of the chain is the subscriber station specified in LPLDG (k) is;

There are one or more grouping access keys on MET devices for the Grouping number k and one or more personal line key connections on MET devices for line i . The diagrams in FIGS. 5 and 6 can then be used for a more detailed explanation of the operations in the plant will.

The system converts a key press in accessing an available connection in the line group under control of the processor as shown in the boxes 25 ₁ 26, 27 in Figure 6 in order. A first priority of a group of lines in a grouping is realized in that they are installed as the first η lines in the grouping as explained above. The first free line in a group of free lines in the first grouping of lines is available for a connection to a calling subscriber station in accordance with boxes 24 to 28 and 32 in FIG. 6, the switching network being actually controlled by the processor.

A second priority is assigned to the personal lines which, as explained above, are the (n + i) th Lines are in the grouping. Figure 6 shows how a second priority line is selected by the processor.
