Schweißstation für Kunststoffolientrennschweißung mit Laserstrahlung
Es ist bekannt, daß man mit Laserstrahlung feste Körper schneiden und schweißen kann.
Es ist bekannt, daß man Laserstrahlung mit optischen Mitteln ähnlich wie sichtbares Licht beeinflussen kann.
Es ist bekannt, daß Laserstrahlen infolge der kohärenten Eigenschaft zu sehr kleinen Lichtflecken gebündelt v/erden können, daß diese Strahlungspunkte sehr scharf begrenzt sind und deshalb die Schneideigenschaft eines scharfen Messers besitzen.
Es ist bekannt, daß die Materialschichten direkt neben dem Laserpunkt kalt bleiben, obwohl sie sich in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft befinden.

Bei der Trennschweißung von Kunststoffolien (Bild 1 und Bild 2) besteht die Aufgabe darin, daß der schneidende Laserstrahl gleichzeitig die Ränder zweier übereinanderliegender Folien miteinander verschweißen soll. Diese Forderung ist an sich ein Widerspruch, denn zum Schneiden braucht man einen sehr scharfen Strahl, wie eben beschrieben, zum Schweißen braucht man jedoch einen in der Intensität seitwärts verlaufenden Strahl. Nur auf diese Weise können die zu verschweißenden Partien begrenzt erwärmt und miteinander verschmolzen werden.
Es ist bekannt, daß durch eine spezielle Justierung des Laserstrahls (Bild 3) ein Brennfleck erzeugt werden kann, der in der Mitte hohe Intensität, an den Seiten geringere Intensität besitzt. Auf diese Weise könnte man eine Trennschweißung durchführen. Der Nachteil besteht darin, daß die Justierung sehr schwierig ist, besonders wenn der Strahl unter umständen nicht sichtbar ist.
Der neue Gedanke der Anmeldung geht davon aus, daß für das Schneiden und für das Schweißen.je ein getrennter Strahl verwendet wird (Bild 4). Durch Schräganordnung wird z.B. erreicht, daß Strahl 1 scharfgebündelt schneidet und Strahl 2 die Berührungsflächen der beiden Folien verschweißt.
Die beiden benötigen Laserstrahlen könnten durch Strahlungsteilung auch aus einer Laserquelle gewonnen werden (Bild 5). Ein Prisma spaltet den Hauptstrahl auf. Ein Teilstrahl wird durch optische Mittel nachträglich fokussiert.

Claims (3)

Patentansprüche
1. Schweißstation für Kunststoffolientrennschweißung mit
Laserstrahlung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zwei Laserstrahlen gleichzeitig und am gleichen Angriffspunkt der Folie schneiden und schweißen.
Schweißstation nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Einwirkung der beiden Strahlen räumlich nebeneinander stattfindet und daß die in der Maschine bewegte Materialbahn die beiden Strahlungsbereiche nacheinander durchläuft.
3. Schweißstation nach Anspruch 1„ dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die beiden benötigten Strahlen aus einer Laserquelle erzeugt und einzeln mit optischen Mitteln zum Schneiden oder zum Schweißen spezifiziert werden.
