Das Gerät besteht aus einem festen. und einem beweglichen Teil. Die Platte c kann durch die Kurbel bzw. den Drehgriff f gegen a bewegt werden. Die Platten c und d sind ebenfalls gegeneinander verschieblich. Die latte d ist mit einem eier verbunden ( iibb. 1 ), der die Blutdruckwerte auf der Skala zeigt. Der feste Punkt des Zeigers ist ein Stab o; , der ganz links so an der ilatte c befestigt ist, daß die Hebelwirkung des Zeigers und dadurcll die Ausschläge sehr groß sind. Zum Blutdruckmessen wird der Unterarm im distalen Bereich und mit der Palmar-Seite nach oben so in das Gerät ein-eschoben, daß er von den Platten a und umfaßt wird. Dann wird die Kurbel f gedreht und so die Platte d@@egen den Unterarm gedrückt bis der Zeiger pulssynchrone ewegungen zeigt. Der dabei gezeigte Wert ist der diastolische Druck.
