Durch eine solche Brennerregelung ist es möglich, bei großen Leistungsanforderungen, d.h. bei relativ hohen Kesselwassertemperaturen infolge einer geringen Schaltdifferenz eine hohe mittlere Kesselwassertemperatur zu erzielenund bei kleinen Leistungsanforderungen, d.h. bei relativ niedrigen Kesselwassertemperaturen infolge einer größeren Schaltdifferenz die Brennerlaufzeit zu verlängern. Sofern hier die Differenz zwischen der Vor- und Rücklauftemperatur die in der Brennerregelung vorgesehene Schaltdifferenz unterschreitet und nicht korrigierbar ist, ist es zweckmäßig, die Schaltdifferenz entsprechend zu verringern.
