Für diesen Zweck sind , bereits Wascher mit rotierenden Waschelementen in liegender und stehender Anordnung gebaut worden, von denen die letzteren sichThe invention relates to an apparatus which aims to bring liquids and gases into intimate contact and especially to the excretion of ammonia and other impurities from which hard coal gases are to be used. For this purpose, there are already washers with rotating washing elements have been built in a lying and standing arrangement, the latter of which are different
ίο characterized above all by less space required compared to the horizontal washers. ' In the case of the upright washers, washing chambers are generally arranged one above the other, through which the gas flows from bottom to top, and in which centrifugal elements are arranged, which spray a washing liquid into the individual chambers. However, the centrifugal devices used hitherto only spray the washing liquid either as a thin layer of liquid into the washing chamber or only scatter it over part of the space of the chamber, so that not all of the gas particles are touched by the washing liquid. In addition, in the known centrifugal washers, a large part of the washing chambers is still filled by the washing liquid that collects on the floor, as a result of which part of the chamber space is lost for washing.
In the centrifugal washer according to the invention, these disadvantages are completely avoided in that the centrifugal elements, which are arranged in the individual washing chambers, are provided with guide vanes in the manner of a centrifugal pump and these are also designed to be wavy on their outer edge. As a result, in addition to a favorable efficiency when lifting and spraying the water and with little power consumption, the washing liquid is injected into the chambers in differently inclined surfaces and the entire chamber space is coated with the washing liquid. In addition, the floors of the individual washing chambers are inclined towards the middle and are provided with cups from which the guide vanes draw the washing liquid. The inner annular wall of the cup is formed lower than the outer cup wall. This prevents the washing liquid precipitating on the sloping floors from building up and has the effect that the washing liquid overflows over the lower inner wall of the cups. Since the washing liquid sprayed in each chamber flows back over the bottom of the associated cup and is partly sprayed again, the greatest possible enrichment with the constituents washed out of the gas stream is brought about. By arranging a sufficient number of washing chambers, on the other hand, complete washing, for example of ammonia, from the rolling luminous gases is guaranteed.
B. sieben Waschkammern ι bis 7, deren nach der Mitte zu ge-In the drawing, the gas scrubber is shown in vertical section. It consists of any number, e.g. B. seven washing chambers ι to 7, whose towards the middle
