Abstract
Description
Stand der TechnikState of the art
The invention is based on a headlight of the genus Main claim. It is known that the reflector made of sheet steel rusts by electroplating, i.e. to prevent the electrolytic application of a zinc layer. Since for this purpose the reflector has to be completely immersed in the electroplating bath and therefore whose entire surface receives the protective coating, this becomes proportionate costly procedures mostly only applied to so-called add-on headlights.
In contrast, reflectors that are in the support frame or housing of Headlights are used as corrosion protection mostly just a paint coat, which, however, often does not meet the requirements placed on the surface. It has therefore already been proposed that the edge of the light exit opening be in glue a groove on the base of the diffuser; in the same way should the crown of the head be glued into a groove in the lamp plate of the incandescent lamp. This protects although the adhesive increases the cut edge or the cut edge of the reflector the diffuser base or lamp plate provided with a groove reduces the manufacturing costs not insignificant.
Based on the type of headlight mentioned at the beginning the above discussed problem of the prior art according to the invention by the characterizing features of the main claim solved. The arrangement according to the invention has the advantage that liquid zinc is sprayed on under high pressure only at the points that are particularly exposed to corrosion. Since this is essentially the case the cut edge, i.e. the reflector edge of the light exit opening, needs on the one hand only a small section of the reflector surface are flame sprayed and on the other hand this section is not a reflection surface, so that an otherwise subsequent operation is not necessary. Because the reflective surface essentially represents a self-contained surface, the usual surface treatment is sufficient.
The measures listed in the subclaims are advantageous Developments and improvements of the headlight specified in the main claim shown.
A layer thickness of approximately 30 to 50 thousandths of a millimeter proves prove to be sufficient. In practice, not only the cut edge but also their neighboring areas on both sides covered by the flame-sprayed zinc layer and therefore also protected against corrosion.
Furthermore, any point on the reflector can be specifically flame-sprayed will. Compared to the electrolytic application of the zinc layer, the inventive Flame spraying has the particular advantage that the zinc structure has a larger Dense and has a rougher surface, resulting in better adhesion and lens adhesion leads.
A" in Figur 1.Drawing An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and explained in more detail in the following description. It shows Figure 1 a headlight in vertical section with a lamp shown in sections and Diffuser, and FIG. 2 shows the enlarged section "A" in FIG.
Description of the Invention There is a headlight for automobiles essentially of a reflector 10 made of sheet steel, one in its light exit opening ll glued-in lens 12 and one in the apex area 13 insertable lamp 14. The reflector 10 forms an angled flange 15, which receives the foot 16 of the lens and the adhesive 17 '. The vertex opening 13 of the reflector 10 is for receiving the lamp 14 as a cylindrical neck educated. There is also an opening 18 for receiving a parking light lamp Recessed in the reflector 10.
This is where the invention comes in. The reflector 10 is by cutting Deformation, for example by deep drawing, punching and shearing from sheet steel produced, whereby cut edges 19, 29 and 39 arise. These are re a permanent corrosion protection the weak point of the subsequent surface treatment of the reflector. Rusting often begins despite the surface being adequately coated at these cut edges.
In order to protect them much better, it is proposed each these and their neighboring areas 20 and 21 on both sides by a zinc layer 22 to protect. This layer is applied under high pressure by means of flame spraying sprayed onto the bare metal sheet steel, so that between the sheet steel and the protective layer creates an intimate, non-detachable connection.
